• Compaction control and soil investigation • Dynamic Probing Super Heavy (DPSH) • Drilling Head and Standard Penetration Test (SPT) attachments Technical features • Weight of the anvil: 63,5 kg – Fall height : 76 cm • 1m rods, Ø 32 mm - 20 cm² fixed or lost cones • Adjustable hammering frequency from 20 to 30 strokes/min • Self-propelled rig equipped with rubber tracks • 14HP petrol engine with electric start • Hydraulic upwards and downwards movement and pole adjustment (vertical and lateral) • Storage compartments for rods and cone • Automatic stop system for depth and for the addition of rods • Flashing warning light, projector and cigarette lighter socket • Embedded GPS with automatic data recording. • Embedded IT system allowing direct reading of the penetrogram • See on screen what’s happening at the cone tip - display tip resistance qd (MPa) or counts every 10 or 20 cm (N10 or N20) • Data processing software Operating For compaction control, the measurement of the driving depth in mm per strike is compared to a database based on the type of soil (soil classification), its water content and the required compaction quality (%OPN or OPM). Anomalies calculation is done automatically with the embedded software. For soil investigation, the penetrogram can be drawn according to the dynamic resistance (MPa) and the number of blows every 10 or 20 cm (N10 or N20). A geological cross-section (database available) can be associated with the penetrogram. GRIZZLY® DPSH Penetrogram Results Example
