Fabric and Supplies Needed

ADE-20277-223 HOLIDAY

Fabric amounts based on yardage that is 42” wide.

A 1-1/4 yard 3/4 yard

You will also need:1-3/8 yards for backing

Binding

- Read through all of the instructions before beginning.- All of the seam allowances are 1/4” unless otherwise noted.- Press seam allowances open unless otherwise noted. - Width of fabric (WOF) is equal to at least 42” wide.- Right sides together has been abbreviated to RST.- Remember to measure twice and cut once!

Step 1: Layer the Fabric A panel, batting and backing. Quilt as desired within the tree skirt design. Stitch around the tree skirt, 1/8” inside of each dotted cutting line. This stitching will help during the binding and cutting process.

From the Binding Fabric, cut:220” length of 2-1/2” wide bias binding strips

The Fabric A and backing will not be cut until after quilting.

Step 2: Cut the tree skirt along the dotted lines, cutting the outside circular edge, the slit to the middle, and the middle circle.

Step 3: Sew the bias binding strips together, end to end, and prepare for sewing.

Step 4: Use the bias binding to bind the edges of the Tree Skirt. You may leave the slit as is with simple binding, or add velcro or buttons and loops to finish.

Your tree skirt is complete!
