Korfball Two year 6 teams took part in a Korfball tournament on Sunday 24th March at Harrow Leisure Centre. It is only five weeks since ago that our children were first introduced to the game and had their first Coaching session. They played well and gained confidence with each game played. It is a fast moving game and it was a pleasure to watch their passing becoming quicker and more accurate. They were beaten into 3rd and 4th place by two teams who have been playing for over a year. Well done to the Year 6 Korfballers. We are very proud of you. Mrs Pearson Also thanks to parents who came along to support!

Our Kaufball players—Katie Barkshire, Leah-Ann Butler, Emmanuel Coroama, Matty Doulton, Nidhi Gajjar, Taliya Gill, Natasha Graham, Anjana Jeevan, Sana Khan, Kafui Mensah, Taya O’Donohue, Shaan Patel, Anish Paresh, Neil Popat, Nerosan Pragashparan, Firdous Rashid and Esha Singh —Well done all of you!

If while you are waiting to collect a child from school, you need to take a younger child to use the toilet, please go with your child to the medical room. Thank you. (Under our Safeguarding Policy, adults with exception of school staff, should never go into the Children’s Toilets).

Has your child lost a pair of spectacles? We have a pair unclaimed in the school office. They are purple and pink.

QUIZ SUPPER—FRIDAY 26TH APRIL. PLEASE PUT THE DATE IN YOUR DIARY. MORE INFORMATION TO FOLLOW FROM FOGS.

Parents are asked never to go into classrooms before school to speak to teachers. If you want to speak to a teacher, please go to the school office to make an appointment. The teachers are very busy dealing with registration etc at the start of the day and also we always need to know who is in the building in case of emergencies.

Our caretaker, Harry Wilson, retires at the end of term after 18 years at Grimsdyke. I am sure parents will join staff in wishing him health and happiness in his retirement.

Have you borrowed a book from the library? All library books borrowed should be returned to the school library before the Easter break. Thank you.

On 14th March 2013 Grimsdyke School took two Year 4 Tag Rugby Teams to St John's School to participate in a Saracens Tag Rugby Tournament. Both teams performed at the highest level winning 6 games between them. Considering training was interrupted by our beautiful Spring weather both teams should be very proud of their performances. We are now looking forward to our next tournament.

The following children took part:- Max Abrahams, Aditiya Bhagavatula, Sada Boxall, Mia Davidge, Mia Drakeford, Keshini Emmanuel, Hannah Felton, Anya Henrix, Jay Ingham, Cameron Jones, Yusuf Karimboy, Shreya Lad, Neve Mullarkey, Alena Musafa, Louis Perera, Aryan Saraf & Alice Whorlow
