About me: My name is Benjamin Black I’m a sophomore in college, and I play football

for the Orange County Cougars. My mom was diagnosed with cancer a year ago, and

given two years to live. This inspired me to start participating in the race for the cure and

to become the best student and athlete that I could. I have worked hard since then and

have maintained straight A’s and I am about to play the football game of a lifetime. It is

the college football championships and our school is playing its rival, the California pit

bulls. I want to win for my mom and for my school. LET’S GO COUGARS

College Pre-Game Show - 5 Minutes Until the Start of the Game

-Hello, and for viewers that are just joining us here at cougar stadium, I’m your host

Corey Hillis and I’m about to breakdown the game for you. Today is a huge day in

college football history where one of the best teams in America, the California Pit Bulls,

are taking on their rivals, the Orange County Cougars in this championship bowl game.

The Orange County Cougars are predicted to lose this game by a landslide. Leading the

cougars in this game will be the star sophomore, Benjamin Black. I’ll tell you folks,

Benjamin Black is not only a great player on the field, but he is great off of it as well. He

spends his time donating time and money to the race for the cure foundation, and

achieves unbelievable grades in school; he is an inspiration to people everywhere. On

the other side of the field we have the ruthless defenseman for the Pit Bulls, Daemon

Johnson. People were unsure whether Daemon would be able to play in this game due

to his suspension for unsportsmanlike conduct and academic probation, but against all

odds, he will still play in this matchup. From a moral standpoint, I want Benjamin Black

and the Cougars to win, but from a realistic standpoint, we are all very confident that the

Pit Bulls will win in this game. Oh, look at the time, the game is about to start. Thank

THE COUGARS BEAT THE PITBULLS IN AN INCREDIBLE COMEBACK!

For those of you who were not able to watch

the game, you missed out. This was one of

the most exciting games I have ever seen

in my entire life! It all came down to the very

last play. It was 20-24, and the Cougars

needed a touchdown to win the ball game.

They were 40 yards away from the touchdown

zone and needed to do something incredible

with the 6 seconds remaining in the game.

Quarterback Benjamin Black got the ball

and faked move that would stop the clock

from ticking down. Instead, he looked up

and threw a perfect pass to his open receiver.

The receiver caught the ball and ran into the

end zone, shocking fans worldwide. This,

however, was not the most shocking event

of the night. After the play was finished,

Daemon Johnson, the defender notorious

for his violent nature, sucker punched

Benjamin in the face. Benjamin was

wheeled off of the field dazed and confused.

He was later treated for a broken jaw. Daemon

Johnson has been fined $50,000 and has been

suspended from college football for the 7

months for his actions. All in all, this was an

incredible night and an incredible performance

from Benjamin Black.

-BEEP- Hi mom, it’s me Benny. Just called to ask how the surgery was going and to tell

you some amazing news; our team won the championship game! I remember a year

ago I could not have passed a single class or even made the team, but look at me now.

I worked ‘till I became better, and, oh my gosh, I became a lot better since I started

working for it, and I’m so happy. I’m coming to visit you this weekend and hope you start
