The use of cotton residue to produce electrical energy in Cuamba district
An opportunity has been identified to transform the large amounts of cotton farm waste into electrical energy. Over 32 000 farmers engaged in the JFS-SAN cotton concession can benefit from the additional revenue generated by the sale of this waste to the project. The waste will be transformed to energy using the latest gasification technology.
GreenLight has developed the feasibility study for the conversion of cotton waste to electricity. Currently the project is in its development phase.
