Jonathon Grealy - Business Manager
Jonathon has joined us as the Business Manager of PlantUp. Jonathon started his horticulture career 16 years ago with the Port Stevens Council. He completed his apprenticeship in Parks and Gardens under the guidance of well known horticulturalist and entrepreneur Brad Horan. Jonathon was awarded apprentice of the Year in 1998.From there, he went on to start his own Landscape Construction & Maintenace Company - Valley Horticultural Services - which ran throughout the Newcastle and Hunter Valley region.He now joins us to develop and build PlantUp.

PlantUp Greenwall has three styles of paneling including CSG Panel TM (Continuous Surface Greenwall Panel), Blade Panel TM and feature Sudo Baskets TM. The CSG Panel ensures a continuous plant permeable growing surface across the face of the wall which allows for 100% vegetation coverage of the entire area. The Blade is a compact unit that creates a column of vegetation. This is achievable as it is planted out on three sides and will grow out to around 1m wide. The feature Sudo Baskets are built to show feature plants and accents on a wall and can hold aplant with a 1.5m wide growth habit from day one.

A large biodiversity has been created on the Greenwall by in-corporating both Australian natives and some exotic species. There are over 60 varieties of plants with a mixture of Brome-liads, Cacti and Ferns. The Greenwall was designed by Mark Paul from The Green-wall Company and Jonathon Grealy from PlantUp. The Green-wall Company’s Mark Paul says that the planting of the wall was specifi cally designed so that plants requiring higher light intensity would not be overshadowed by others. The plants were also carefully selected so that those with greater water needs are planted towards the bottom of the wall.
