WHY A GREEN REPORT CARD?

• October 16, 2007 County adopted the Cool Counties Declaration

• County to calculate its carbon footprint and implement a carbon emissions reduction plan

• GRC is a reporting and educational tool that enables Departments to systematically assess environmental performance

• GRC also provides guidance on how to continue to reduce environmental impacts

HOW DOES THIS AFFECT MY DEPARTMENT?

• Information will be used to inform program

• FY 10/11 is a pilot year

• Each facility must fill out the GRC – some Departments may have multiple GRCs for their different locations

• GRC is a mixture of mandatory and optional measures

• GRC reps are also responsible for disseminating occasional Green Team information to co-workers

WHAT IS THE GRC APPLICATION PROCESS?

• GRC reps submit an application online

• Using unique url, fill out your checklist

• Submit by August 1, 2010

• A small portion of GRC submissions will be randomly selected for verification

• Assist with outreach and education to co-workers through postings, emails, etc.
