Smart cities, green buildings Added together, buildings all over the world account for 40% of global energy consumption. Greener cities and smarter buildings are needed in order to cope with this environmental challenge. As an urban mobility expert, Schindler contributes to eco-friendly architecture with leading technologies and a deep understanding of efficient traffic management. It’s all about efficiency From planning to modernization: we focus on efficiency. Efficiency through professional and fore- sighted planning. Efficiency by offering intelligent concepts for traffic management. Efficiency through products engineered to ideally match the individual requirements of the building. And finally, efficiency in installation and operation. Intelligent in design, focused in operation The energy consumed during the operation of an elevator accounts for three-fourths of its lifelong environmental impact. To ensure energy-saving operations, all products are system engineered, every single component is ideally matched and the elevator is designed precisely according to the specific mobility needs. From design to production, installation and service, through to recycling: Schindler tracks and continu- ously improves its eco-performance in every pro- cess step. Green mobility. Sustainable technology. Schindler 3300 / Schindler 5300 Schindler Passenger Elevators A class of its own Seven consumption classes provide a transparent and factual overview when rating elevators accord- ing to their energy performance. They range from “A” to “G” with “A” being the best-in-class system. The rating combines measurements of both standby and travel energy. The elevator’s frequency of use, travel height and speed are also considered, as they have a strong influence on the rating. Selected measurements recorded by Schindler and independent third parties show that the Schindler 3300 can provide an outstanding A certification.
