At Jefferson Evangelical Church for students in grades 1-5
August 24th between 8am and 10am.
Backpacks have a binder, paper, folders, spiral notebooks, pens, pencils, a pencil pouch, erasers, pencil sharpener, crayons, markers, a ruler, a glue stick, scissors, and more. Backpacks will be given away while supplies last (We have 45 back-packs).

It’s HARVEST TIME at the JEFFERSON COMMUNITY GARDEN
The Garden is located just north of Jefferson United Methodist Church.
It is open 24/7 for picking for anyone in the community who does not have their own
garden. Stop by and take a look at the “ready for harvest” sign. Feel free to pick just
what you can use. Be respectful—be healthy—teach your children—enjoy!!!
Jefferson Community Food Pantry……. Need food or know someone who does?? come on into the Pantry between 3pm and 6pm
on a Wednesday.
Have you been thinking you’d like to be a part of helping 300 kids and adults in
Jefferson, Millersburg, Scio, Dever-Conner, and Talbot each month?
Volunteer once a month to work in the Pantry—call 541-327-1948 to learn more about
a variety of options.
Send a check to Jefferson Community Food Pantry c/o JUMC—PO Box 76, Jefferson,
OR 97352 with “Pantry” in the by-line. ANY amount helps--$10 buys 100 lbs of
food!
Become a sustaining Donor by committing to a monthly contribution to the Pantry in
any amount. Ask your bank to set up a Bill Pay to automatically transfer your
donation of any amount each month from your Checking Account to JCFP/JUMC
Operational Fund Account—Routing #123205054. Your direct authorization will
remain in effect until you notify your Bank and Pantry that you wish to change.

4:30pm. Cost is $10.
JHS Fall Sports registration is Thursday, August 10 from 9am till Noon.

District Board Room The Jefferson School Board meets the second Monday of each month in the District Board Room, at 6:30 p.m. The Board Room is located in the
building directly behind the District Office. Individuals wishing to address the Board during audience time will be asked to sign in upon arrival.
To request the addition of an item to the agenda, contact Board secretary Karen Wusstig at 541-327-3337, x 1051. Agendas are available the
Thursday preceding the meeting. Minutes, once available, are unofficial until approved by the Board. Meetings notices are published in the
Albany Democrat Herald and on the district website.
