DESCRIPTION

The greater gliders head and body length is 400mm and its tail length is 500mm it weighs up to 1.5kg .

They are covered in shaggy fur and have fluffy ears. Colours range from brown to creamy white.

The skin that helps them glide goes from their elbow to their ankle.

Habitat

Greater Gliders are found in Eastern Australia in Eucalypt forests and woodlands. They are native to Australia.

Gliders are nocturnal so during the day they shelter in tree hollows. They often use up to10 hollows at any one time.
