Customer focus &

experience

Innovation

• Suppliers / customers relations management: Gas transportation, meter reading and energy calculation, billing, intervention on customer installations.

• Stakeholders relations management: Discussing rules and functioning of an open market, and pricing of network access and utilization.

Inventing the gas model of the future:• working on a 11,000,000 smart metering

program.• developing new network technologies.• advising customers in gas consumption

optimization.• promoting renewable gases.

Policy and process set-up

Assist in designing the policy, strategy and organization process, or revising the existing set-ups. Advise national authorities on the setting-up of a regulatory framework.

Some examples:• Setting-up of a gas plant damage prevention

system

• In-depth review of the renewal investment policy

• Setting-up of the framework of third-party access (law, gas market rules, operational code)

• Elaboration of a distribution tariff

• Realignment and reshaping of commercial business processes according to third-party access

Operational organization

Provide support by assessing current performance of organisation, comparing it to leading international practices, identifying opportunities for improvement and assisting in change implementation.

Some examples:• Set-up of a methodology for cleaning-up a

geographic data or asset technical database system

• Audit of the asset geo-database system performance

• Design of a call centre for treating alerts

• In-depth review of the performance of the safety chain

• Peer review of network access policy and procedures

• Peer review of the unaccounted for gas (UfG) management system

Project management

Support a project owner in defi ning and formulating a project’s strategic goals and orientations, and elaborating associated technical specifi cations of material & IT systems & functionalities.

Some examples:• Evaluation of business opportunities for

natural gas industrial use in a specifi c area

• Elaboration of a methodology for extending the network based on profi tability calculations

• Guidelines for the development of a (mass) smart-metering system

• Review of the set of technical specifi cations of a mobile asset database system

• In-depth review of the corrective maintenance system

• Design of a city / sector gas grid

Training and professionalization
