Motion Graph 3 Sketch the motion on a displacement vs. time graph
• A child starts 3 meters to her mother’s left and remains there for 3 seconds. The child then crawls towards the mother at a rate of 0.5m/s for a total of 4 seconds. The child then remains stationary for another 3 seconds and then crawls away from the mother covering 3meters in 3 seconds.

Motion Graph 4 Sketch the motion on a velocity vs. time graph
• A car initially travels north at 5m/s for 3 seconds. The car then constantly slows to a stop over 5 seconds and remains stationary for 3 seconds. The car then turns around and accelerates at a rate of 0.5m/s2 for 4 seconds and remains at that constant speed for 4 seconds. The car then uniformly slows to a stop over the remaining 4 seconds.
