How to create Torn paper, Digital scrap paper, scrambled paper, Folded paper in Photoshop.

Samples must be attached along with the submission of Term paper.

ABOUT WINDOW:

For making my term paper I use the Microsoft Window 7. Windows 7 is the most recent publicly

available version of Microsoft Windows, a series of operating systems produced by Microsoft for

use on personal computers, including home and business desktops, laptops, netbooks, tablet PCs,

and media center PCs.Windows 7 was released to manufacturing on July 22, 2009, and general

retail availability on October 22, 2009, less than three years after the release of its predecessor,

Windows Vista. Windows 7's server counterpart, Windows Server 2008 R2, was released at the

same time.

Unlike its predecessor, which introduced a large number of new features, Windows 7 was

intended to be a more focused, incremental upgrade to the Windows line, with the goal of being

fully compatible with applications and hardware with which Windows Vista is already

compatible. Presentations given by Microsoft in 2008 focused on multi-touch support, a

redesigned Windows Shell with a new taskbar, referred to as the Superbar, a home networking

system called Home Group, and performance improvements. Some applications that have been

included with prior releases of Microsoft Windows, including Windows Calendar, Windows

Mail, Windows Movie Maker, and Windows Photo Gallery, are not included in Windows 7most

are instead offered separately as part of the free Windows Live Essentials suite.

So this was some basic information regarding Windows7 which I used as an operating system for

making my term paper. After the detail of window7 let’s discuss the software which I used to

make this term paper topic.

For making my term paper I used ADOBE PHOTOSHOP to make all these four topics. That is:

Torn paper.

Digital scrap paper.

Folded paper.

Scrambled paper.

Some basic information about the Adobe Photoshop:

Adobe Photoshop is an image editing software developed and manufactured by Adobe System

Inc. Photoshop is considered one of the leaders on photo editing software. This software allows

users to manipulate, crop, resize and correct color on digital photos. This software is particularly

amongst professional photographers. Photoshop consist of the image window, the tool box, the

option bar, and a set of floating pallets, which are used repeatedly during the editing process.

So, we have used this software for making our term paper topics. My first topic is

TORN PAPER:

Steps involved for making Torn Paper is:

Step-1. Open any image in Photoshop.

step-2: click on lasso tool from the tool box.

Step-3: select the portion of the image which we want to torn.

Step-4: after selecting click on Edit Option and choose Fill Option and Fill it White.

Step-5:and Fill it White.

Step-6: after filling select the option Select the choose the Inverse Option

Step-7: after the selection of option Inverse.

Step-8: click Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V.

Step-9: again click on lasso tool from the tool box for making Torn Effect.

Step -10: select the image with the lasso tool for giving it Torn Effect.

Step-11: click on Filter Menu then Choose Render and then choose Cloud.

Step-12: This image is after selecting the Cloud Option.

Step-13: click on the Image Menu and choose the option Adjustment and choose

Brightness/contrast Option.

Step-14: Adjust the Brightness and the contrast.

Step-15: Double click on this layer from the Layer Pallet the new window will be appear the

choose the option drop shadow from it. And adjust the shadow effect.

Step-16: This image is after giving the Shadow Effect.

Step-17: click on the Filter Menu and choose the Option Noise from the List and choose the

Option Add Noise.

Step-18: This image is after the effect of Noise.

Step-19: apply all these effects on the other part of the image.

Step-20: This is the final Torn Paper image.

Digital scrap paper

Steps involved for making Digital Scrap Paper is:

Step-1: Open Photoshop and open document of any size.

Step-2: choose the Option Rectangle Marquee tool from the Tool Box.

Step-3: Draw a rectangle using Rectangle Marquee Tool of any size.

Step-4: choose the option Pint Bucket Tool from the Tool Box.

Step-5: fill any color into the square.

Step-6: choose the option Brush Tool from the Tool Box.

Step-7: then choose the Option set the Foreground Color and choose the lighter color which was

choosen before.

Step-8: after choosing the lighter color use the brush and give the effect by using brush on it.

Step-9: after giving the effect choose the Option Filter Gallery from the Filter Menu.

Step-10: choose the option Crosshatch from the Brush Strokes.

Step-11: this image is after giving the Filter Effect.

Step-12: then again give the Spetter Effect from the Filter Gallery Option.

Step-13: this image is after giving the effect.

Step-14: double click on the layer from the layer palette, the new window will appear then

choose the option drop Shadow from it.

Step-15: this image is after giving the Drop shadow Effect.

Step-16: choose the Eraser Tool from the Tool Box.

Step-17: this is the final image after applying the Eraser Tool.

This is the Digital Scrap Paper.

My next topic is Folded Paper:

FOLDED PAPER:

The steps involved in the Folded Paper are:

Step-1: open an any document on the Photoshop with the background color black and foreground

color is white.

Step-2: the document will be like this.

Step-3: draw a rectangel using Rectangle Marquee Tool from the Tool Box of any size.

Step-4: choose the Pint Bucket Tool from the Tool Box.

Step-5: fill it white. And then control+c and Control+v.

Step-6: draw the Triangle on the corner of the sheet using Polygon Lasso Tool from the Tool

Box.

Step-7: press Del from the Keyboard.

Step-8: this image is after the apply of Del Key.

Step-9: draw a triangle on the corner of the sheet using the Polygon Lasso Tool from The Tool

Box.

Step-10: make a new layer form the Layer Menu.

Step-11: Select the Gradient Tool from the Tool Box.

Step-12: select Gradient Editor from the Option Bar and adjust the effect. And click ok.

Step-13: this image is after giving the Effect.

Step-14: double click on the layer from the Layer Palette and choose the option drop shadow

effect from it and adjust the shadow.

Step-15: this image is after giving the Drop Shadow Effect.
