toy designMischeivous Maeve was produced as a limited edition vinyl collectible toy and was released at The Comic-Con International 2007.

She began as some sketches and turns, was made into a protoype which I then painted by hand. I created all the graphics for the packaging as well.

Candace J Metzger is an artist and designer living in Glendale, CA. She is an illustrator, graphic designer, writer, and character designer/developer and comfortably moves between several artistic skills. Candace received her BA and Master’s Degrees in Art, and has produced designs for Punch Studio, Playdom, Inc., Neiman Marcus, Hot Topic, Fred Eric, Hard Rock Café, AD Lines, Baby Tattoo Books, Mindstyle/Kaching Brands, and the Los Angeles Times.

Candace is extremely proficient at design and publishing applications including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Quark, Dreamweaver and Microsoft Word. Having worked as a Lead Designer at Punch Studio, she understands the needs of packaging and product design, and can move quickly from concepting, to designing, to getting her art ready for final production. Additionally, you’ll see that she is skilled in painting, drawing, photography, and other traditional art making mediums. She has been described as extremely organized and professional, to have great phone etiquette, plays well with others, and that she is fun and energetic even when deadlines are creeping up. She approaches each day with a positive attitude and an excitement to get to work.

Candace is seeking freelance/permalance work as a designer. She has a flexible schedule, and is extremely eager to share her talents and skills, as well as to become a valuable and dedicated part of a companies creative team.
