Page 2 Thanks to all volunteers who rang the bells
for United Way! With the help of many dedicated individuals and organizaons, the holiday campaign raised
nearly $30,000. Volunteers signed up to ring bells at five locaons throughout St. Francois
County—Walmart and JC Penney in Farmington, Big Lots in Leadington, Country Mart in Park
Hills, and Mike’s Market in Bismarck. Many thanks to every volunteer who rang the bell, every
group that organized mulple ringers, every donor who contributed, and every business that
hosted a wishing well at its retail locaon. We could not do this without all of your help!
Ozarks Federal Savings and Loan recently presented a check to United Way
of St. Francois County. The bank is one of the many businesses that choose
to support United Way each year. The United Way of St. Francois County
thanks all those community-minded business owners and managers who
supported the organizaon in 2014, either through a direct donaon,
offering payroll deducon to employees, a fundraiser, giving employees
me to ring the bell for United Way during the holiday season, or any other
form of support. In addion, the United Way thanks those businesses that
welcomed us to make a presentaon to employees during the year.
Pictured at right is Shelley Tate and Dennis McIntosh of Ozarks Federal and
Anna Kleiner and Kerry Glore of United Way.
In Decermber, Belgrade State Bank presented a check to United Way of St.
Francois County. Belgrade is one of many local banks that support United Way
each year. Pictured at le are staff members of Belgrade State Bank in
Farmington presenng the check to Anna Kleiner of United Way.
Along with businesses, nonprofit service organizaons in our area
also donate funds and/or volunteer hours, such as through bell
ringing. The Rotary Club recently donated $1,000 to United Way in
support of agency grants. Pictured are members of the SFC Rotary
Club presenng the check to fellow Rotarian Anna Kleiner of United
Way of St. Francois County.
Ulity donaons add up!
In Bonne Terre, Desloge, Farmington and Park Hills, ulity customers can add any amount
as a gi to United Way. They can choose to give every month, or as oen as they like. The
money goes toward the grants the United Way Board of Directors pledges to award to
agencies in St. Francois County. Your gi in 2015 will help the agencies funded by United
Way help our neighbors in 2016! The amount added to the ulity bill stays in St. Francois
County — just like the money given by any individual to United Way at any me. Please
consider giving to United Way through your ulity bill in 2015. It really does add up! If you
pay online, just set up the gi through your ulity company. THANK YOU!
