Sticky Note
There are three types of funding often received through Sponsored Programs: - A grant is used to support a particular project, usually proposed by the principal investigator, with minimal involvement from the sponsor. - A cooperative agreement is very similar to a grant but it is distinguished from a grant in that it provides for substantial involvement between the Federal awarding agency and University during the project period. - A contract is issued by a sponsor to procure certain goods or services for their benefit within a specified project period.
