He is Director of Music at Clare College, Cambridge, co-founder and Principal Conductor of The Dmitri Ensemble, and guest conducts around the world. He studied music at Clare College, Cambridge, conducting at the Royal College of Music, and held a conducting scholarship with the London Symphony Chorus.
