At the recent Egy Stitch & Tex Exhibition in Cairo, visitors were rather amused to watch live demo of direct to garment printing with digital like quality on Grafica's textile screen printing machines.

In association with Grafica, T.T.S., (Grafica's Representative in Egypt), had showcased a host of screen printing machines and allied products such as GraficaTex (10 color/12 pallet), nano-prinTag plus, nano-prinTag, Nano-Print Plus, Hot Air Dryer, and Nano-Screen Maker 5-in-1.

The Egy Stitch Tex was held on 23 to 26 February 2017 at Cairo International Conference Center. During the exhibition, Grafica and T.T.S team screen printed different jobs such as 'all over printing' (20” x 30”), Cartoon Designs (10” x 12”) and also a small job of 6” x 6”.

“While the machines on display were being sold to customers in Cairo, Grafica has received few order bookings for its range of DTG screen printing machines,” says Hanish Mehta, General Manger, Sales & Marketing who was present at the show.

“Most of the visitors were impressed by the very look of Grafica's DTG screen printing machines (machine finishing and color). Their confidence further increased when they watched a trouble-free live demo of our machines and a superb quality prints. Many garment printers shared that in the entire exhibition, only in Grafica's stall they could watch live demo of screen printing 'digital like' quality prints."

Grafica's technical experts were present at the expo to assist T.T.S. officials during the exhibition. They stayed back for few days to carry out installation and to give training to customers.

“Thanks to Grafica's support and presence, we could successfully showcase their range of DTG screen printing machines at the 7th Egy Stitch expo,” says Abdel Moneim Zaghloul, Director of T.T.S.

ExhibitionExhibition

For hundreds of creative minded garment printers, visiting Grafica's stall at the recently concluded GMMSA expo (17-20 February 2017) in Ludhiana was altogether a different experience. The visitors gathered around GraficaTex in large numbers to watch live demo of producing digital like quality prints by screen printing method.

“This technique involves the use of second generation FM dots (stochastic dots) which eliminates the so called problem of 'moire',” says Bhargav Mistry, MD, Grafica who was present at the expo. Many of the Grafica customers interacted with him to gain knowledge in advanced textile screen printing.

Grafica had showcased its GraficaTex (8 colour/14 pallet - Print Area 20” x 30”) besides pictorial display of its wide range of screen printing machinery and allied products. A team of experts from Grafica and Shori Chemicals (Grafica Rep. in Ludhiana) were present all throughout the exhibition to explain the new concepts in garment screen printing..

Similarly, Grafica had also showcased Aeoon's textile digital printing machine for the first time at GTE, New Delhi (4-6 March 2017). The response was overwhelming in New Delhi too as one could see from the photo

Backed by Grafica’s Camshell, complete screen making setup and DMI’s technical guidance, Ghaziabad based Graphix India gets a big push in industrial screen printing. The company has a label and screen printing unit (1783 sq.ft) which is located in Ghaziabad. This unit has complete screen printing set up and a 4-color Flexo Label printing machine. The company’s screen printing unit offers the following products: ! Polycarbonate labels! Vinyl stickers! Metal labels (Aluminium

anodized) They supply these labels to Electronics, Electrical, security industry (CCTV cameras), home appliances, pharma/medical (hospital tags / wrist bands for patience), and Telecommunication sectors (mobile tower equipment) in Delhi/NCR, Rudrapur, Dehradun, Rourkee, Haridwar, etc.

in Pre press/screen making. Challenges come when a new product is being developed by our customers. In industrial screen printing we have to use different semi rigid substrates, requiring different inks and mesh specifications. The industrial stickers, screen printed on non paper substrates, are supposed to be perfect and sync with the requirement of product’s functioning. These stickers also have aesthetic look besides its function features. About Graphix India: Graphix India was founded in 2004 by Ghanshyam Yadav to offer offset printing services (commercial printing and packaging, advertising display materials) to many big corporate. They offer packaging to Pharma and cosmetic customers in Haridwar, Rourkee, Rudrapur, New Delhi, etc. Their Flexo Label printing unit produces barcode and FMCG product labels and also Accessories (hardware/ software).

In a bid to please the customers, S. Raja and S. Madan, partners of SRM Printers, decided to invest in advanced screen printing technology. Their search ended when they visited Grafica's stall at a print exhibition in Chennai where they could see live demo of Nano-Print plus and Nano-UV.

SRM Printers is a sister concern of Raja Offset Printers. Set up in 1997, Raja Offset has a mini offset and single colour offset, complete post press facilities, all housed in their 4000 sq.ft facility. With advanced screen printing, they

Interview: Grafica connection: Our search for a quality screen printing machine ended when we visited Grafica stall at an expo in New Delhi. Although it was a garment expo, Grafica team gave us a patience hearing since our requirement of machine was for industrial printing. To our surprise, rather than trying to sell their machine, Grafica sales team was giving me step by step guidance since we were new entrants into screen printing. We surely had the option of buying other cheaper machines. However, we opted for Grafica although their price was on higher side. Later we felt that considering all ‘plus’ factors of Grafica (quality of machine, after sales service and technical support), the price was reasonable. We are now fully satisfied with the performance of Grafica’s CamShell and screen making set up. Moreover, they never fell short of

their promises. We regularly receive their technical guidance. Being offset and flexo label printers why did you enter industrial screen printing? We diversified into industrial Screen printing after seeing growing competition in flexo label sector. We are growing in our screen printing business at 30-40% even if we entered this field just 4 year ago. So, what is the reason for your quick success? Our strategy is as under: ! Innovation / New ideas,

concepts in line with product development being made by customers.

! Delivery and prompt service - Design to output and delivery.

! Guidance to customers! Competitive pricing. What are the Challenges in industrial screen printing? In press department there is not much challenge. The crucial task is

Automation boosts ' spot UV businessSRM Printersoffer spot UV on job work basis. Besides this, they also print wedding and invitation cards, cloth bags for wedding ceremony, etc. “We had manual screen printing which was tedious and time consuming. On the other hand on screen printing machine we can print big size sheet print with consistent quality,” says Raja. “We were referred by Grafica's customers in Sivakasi, Chennai and Kumbhkonam. Nano Print plus is superb. And there is no issue regarding Grafica's after sales service. We are a fully satisfied customer of Grafica.”

After using an imported machine for many years, Ludhiana based Vallabh Printers has now opted for GraficaTex.

“We chose GraficaTex owing to their excellent quality machine. It's trouble free and needs less maintenance. Grafica renders good technical support and we are fully satisfied with their after sales service. These are some of the core aspects that we consider while choosing a textile printing machine,” says Sunil Jain, who is accompanied by his younger brother Sanjeev Jain.

After many years of trading in garments, in 1995 the founders of Vallabh Printers made a humble beginning in garment screen printing, starting with a small unit having manual tables. Their new 15000 sq.ft production facility built about 8 months ago, with a frontage of a lush green farm land,

houses GraficaTex. The company also has manual screen printing, complete screen making set up, computerized embroidery, and sublimation.

Vallabh Printers mainly caters to domestic market. They undertake DTG screen printing on kids, men's and women's wear, upto 22 x 30 inch print area. Besides CMYK and spot colors, they also undertake

special effects printing such as high density, glitter, foiling, flocking, etc.

“While some of the customers want only DTG screen printing, some want only embroidery and some want mix of screen printing and embroidery. It also depends on market preference,” says Sunil Jain. “Sublimation has its own application in garment

decoration,” he adds while explaining the role of digital technology in garment decoration.

“We embarked on automation for faster production and to improve quality of prints. With automation we could also have a neat and clean environment as compared to manual type of set up,” he concludes.

After a thorough evaluation of the best direct to garment screen printing machines available in the market, Belgaum based Next Fashion Apparels rather preferred GraficaTex. “Grafica's DTG screen printing machine scored high on price and technical factor. Since it is an indigenous machine we came to the conclusion that cost of procuring spare could be kept to bear minimum,” says K.H. Mogali, one of the partners of the company. “We were equally impressed with the positive approach of the Grafica's officials who have sound technical knowledge and were transparent while clearing all our doubts. It also mattered a lot when we were finalizing the deal. Having said, we are today quite satisfied with their after sales and technical support.” As part of their employee welfare activities, the company has set up Crèche for workers' kids. The

company also provides Canteen, Transport and Medical Fund as employees benefit schemes. “To provide employment opportunities to locals, we even recruit freshers and train them on the job,” says Mogali. Established in 2010, Next Fashion Apparels is a manufacturer and exporter of knitted fashion garments. A wide range of garments are manufactured at their two units in Belgaum -- Unit 1: 5000 sq. ft and Unit-2 (new): 18000 sq.ft. The company, with a

capacity to produce about 150,000 garments per month, gives direct employment opportunities to over 200 persons. “Out of the total t-shits production almost 80% go out with printing and that spells out the trend in T-shirts. Currently the company outsources 1 to 1.5 lakh pieces of heat transfer labels,” says Mogali.

The company has also installed Grafica's complete screen making system. They use Grafica's DTG screen printing machine for their inhouse requirement.
