LEVELLAND & HOCKLEY COUNTY NEWS-PRESS, Wednesday, May 29, 2013--7 GRADUATION 2013 Levelland High School Class of 2013 SUZIMENDOZA Suzi Mendoza, daughter of Daniel and Nancy Mendoza, plans to become a softball coach and a math teacher. Her favorite high school subject were Anatomy & Physiology and English. She was a member of the Art Club, and she played softball. ALEXANDRA MONTES Alexandra Montes, daughter of Erlinda and Nicolas Sauceda, plans to major in Pre-Pharmacy at SPC and then transfer to a Pharmacy School. Her favorite high school subject was Math. Her high school honors include: PACE Award in Math and English, Who’s Who in English and U.S. History, and AB Honor Roll. She was a member of NHS, Student Council, Art Club, Upward Bound, HOSA, BPA, and Youth Chamber of Commerce. She also served as a class officer and VP for three years. YESENIAMORA Yesenia Mora, daughter of Esther Ramirez and Felipe Mora, plans to move to Amarillo and become a cosmetologist and then go back to school for another major. Her favorite high school subjects were Math and Anatomy. She received a trainer award for Newcomer of the Year. She participated in Cheerleading and Track and Field, and she was a member of the Spanish Club. KRYSTYNAHALEYMORENO Krystyna Haley Moreno, daughter of Jesse and Monica Moreno, plans to attend SPC in the fall and major in Psychology. In the spring of 2014 she will join Net Ministries, a Catholic based ministry, to travel across the United States forming the Youth in Christian Character through the study and practice of faith. Upon returning from the ministry, she will resume her studies. Her favorite high school subject was English IV with Mr. Sanders. LAURENMORROW Lauren Morrow, daughter of Kevin and Shelia Morrow, plans to attend SPC and major in Exercise Sport’s Sciences. She then plans to transfer to Texas Tech. After earning a bachelors degree she plans on attending Physical Therapy School. Her favorite high school subject was Anatomy & Physiology. Her high school honors include: NHS member, Highest GPA on girl’s Track team, MVP Volleyball Player (two years), Outstanding Track Female, and graduating in the top 10% of the class. She was a member of NHS, FFA, Varsity Volleyball, and Varsity Track. IVANNGUYEN Ivan Nguyen, son of The Nguyen and Ivan Korvis, plans to become a marine biologist. His favorite high school subjects were History with Coach Wadley and Physics with Mr. Demel. VIVIANNIELANDMUNOZ Vivian Nieland Munoz, daughter of Ernesto Nieland and Adriana Nieland, plans to pursue a career in architecture. She plans to attend South Plains College and then transfer to Texas Tech University. Her favorite high school subjects were Art and Architecture. Her high school honors include: South Plains Foreign Language Festival, Certificate of Award Festival and Regional Scholastic Art, and Certificate of Award Art. She was a member of Track and Field, and she volunteered at festivals held in the community. CHRISTIAN LEE PACHECO Christian Pacheco, son of Martin and Dominga Pacheco, plans to attend SPC and major in Music Education and Music Performance. He then plans to transfer to West Texas A&M to earn a masters degree. His favorite high school subjects were History and Math. His high school honors include: making All State Band (two years); All Region Jazz Band (two years); All Region Band (three years) and State Ensemble (three years). He was a member of Band and Poetry. RYNE PARRISH Ryne Parrish, son of Randy and Sandra Parrish, plans to attend Abilene Christian University and pursue a degree in Christian Ministry. He would like to become a minister. He then plans to obtain a Masters of Divinity degree and become a preacher. His favorite high school subjects were Math and Basketball. He received various Outstanding Academic and Character Awards, PACE Club Awards, Who’s Who, Academic All State Basketball, and National Merit Scholar Commended. He was a member of Varsity Basketball and Baseball, Student Council, National Honor Society, and UIL Academics. LAURENPINKERT Lauren Pinkert, daughter of Michael and Lori Pinkert, plans to attend SPC and earn a degree in nursing. Her favorite high school subject was Algebra. His high school honors include: Highest GPA in Algebra I and Who’s Who in World History. She was a member of the National Honor Society. LACREESHAPOLK LaCreesha Polk, daughter of Sonya Polk and L.C. Polk, plans to attend college and become an addiction Psychiatrist. She would also like to get a piercer’s license so she can work in a tattoo shop. She was on the Honor Roll, and she was in Choir, Track, and FCCLA. TIM PRADO Tim Prado, son of Tim Prado and Becky Prado, plans to attend SPC and study Criminal Justice. His favorite high school subject was Athletics. He participated in Football and Baseball. FERNANDOQUEZADA Fernando Quezada, son of Francisco and Lupe Quezada, plans to attend SPC for two years and then transfer to West Texas A&M and major in Computer Technology. His favorite high school subjects were English IV, Band, and Anatomy. He was a member of the Drum Line and Youth Chamber of Commerce. MITCHELL MONK AARON DRAKE MOORE TIMOTHYRHOADES Timothy Rhoades, son of Dr. David and Amy Rhoades, plans to major in Music Education / Performance at SPC. He will then transfer to the University of North Texas to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Music Education. He also plans to march with “The Cavaliers” drum and bugle corps during college. His favorite high school subjects were Band, Math, and lunch. While in high school he received seven I’s at Solo & Ensemble, and he was a Student Leader in the band. He has played in the band since 5 th grade, and he has been a part of the Drum Line since his freshman year. BROOKERICE Brooke Rice, daughter of Tony and Liz Rice, plans to attend college and become a Radiologist Tech. Her favorite high school subject was English. Her high school honors include: Who’s Who Math Award, Newcomer of the Year in Cross Country, Outstanding and MVP for Track, and Outstanding in Cross Country. She participated in HOSA, Cross Country, and Track. GREG OLIVAS Greg Olivas, son of Kathy Sanchez and Joe Olivas, plans to attend SPC. His favorite high school classes were History and Science.
