CHEM 100 GENERAL CHEMISTRY (ORGANIC & INORGANIC) CREDIT: 5 UNITS A comprehensive course covering the fundamental concepts and principles of chemistry, blending

This course provides the students with the overview of nursing as a science, an art, vocation and
profession. It deals with the concept of man as a holistic being comprised of bio-psychological and
spiritual dimensions. It includes a discussion on the different roles of a nurse emphasizing health
promotion, maintenance of health as well as prevention of illness utilizing the nursing process. It
includes the basic nursing skills needed in the care of individual clients.

NCM 201 CARE OF MOTHER, CHILD AND FAMILY CREDIT: 8 UNITS This course is designed to provide the students the developmental theories, principles, techniques and concept, to critically analyze health needs and concerns of the normal mothers, infants, children and families. Classroom and RLE provided the students with activities to develop SKA and values on health promotion and identification and management of risk factors.
N 102 COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING CREDIT: 5 UNITS This course covers the concepts and principles in the provision of basic care in terms of health promotion, health maintenance and disease prevention at the individual, family, community level and special population groups. It includes the study of the Philippine Health Care Delivery System and the global context of Public Health. It describes what community/public health nursing is in the context of the Philippine Health Care Delivery System and in the community development. SCI 312 MICROBIOLOGY AND PARASITOLOGY CREDIT: 4 UNITS
The course deals with the physiological and pathogenic properties of bacteria, fungi and viruses as introduction to disease causation. It also deals with the component of the immune system and host-parasite interactions. Laboratory includes the principles and methods of basic staining procedures, biochemical reactions of bacteria and serologic reactions. N103 BIOETHICS CREDIT: 3 UNITS The course
deals with the concepts principles of Bioethics that will guide the students in making decisions when
confronted with bioethical issue in their daily lives and in their future roles as health professionals.
PE 201 RYTHMIC ACTIVITIES CREDIT: 2 UNITS
A study of the correct and efficient use of the body in all movements and the different ways of
developing physical fitness.
NCM 202 CARE OF MOTHER, CHILD, FAMILY AND POPULATION GROUP AT-RISK OR WITH PROBLEM CREDIT:11 UNITS
The course deals with the concept of disturbances and pre-existing health problems of
pregnant women and pathologic changes during intra-partum and post-partum periods.
These disturbances are emphasized to facilitate the early recovery of clients. Likewise, this
course further deals with the common problems occurring during infancy to adolescence
stage, RLE activities provide students opportunity for actual experiences to ensure
competencies are developed.
N 104 NUTRITION AND DIET THERAPHY CREDIT: 4 UNITS This course
which deals with the study of food in relation to health. It covers nutrients and others substances
and their action, and their interaction and balance in relation to health and diseases and the
process by which organism ingests, digests, absorbs, transports, utilizes and excretes food
substances. It will also focus in the therapeutic and food service aspects of the delivery of
nutritional services in hospital and other health care institutions.
N 105 PHARMACOLOGY CREDIT: 3 UNITS This course deals with phamacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, clinical/therapeutic uses and toxicology. Emphasis is given on how a drug works to anticipate when giving a drug to a patient are of paramount importance since nursing responsibilities include administering drugs, assessing drug effects, intervening to make a drug more tolerable, and providing teaching about drugs and drug regimen. SOC SCI 102 SOCIOLOGY/ANTHROPOLOGY CREDIT: 3 UNITS An introduction to the basic concepts in Sociology and Anthropology, stressing man's interrelationship with other man and also his environment. Basic to the course is the study of culture and social change. PE 20 TEAM SPORTS CREDIT: 2 UNITS
A study of the history, equipment, officials and their responsibilities, playing skills and techniques of
volleyball, softball, basketball.
N 106 HEALTH EDUCATION CREDIT: 3 UNITS
The course includes discussions of the concepts, principles, theories and strategies of clinical and
classroom teaching. It provides critical thinking activities for students to apply concepts of learning
and teaching and appreciate the nurse’s role as a teacher in various setting. It further provides
experiences to develop beginning skills in designing and applying a teaching plan using the nursing
process as framework in the Related Learning Experience and classroom settings.
N 10 INFORMATICS CREDIT: 3 UNITS This
course deals with the use of information technology system and data standards based on nursing
informatics principles and theories. It integrates nursing science with computed technology and
information science to identify, gather, process, and utilize clinical information systems in the
management and decision-making of patient care. Practice application during laboratory hours is
designed to develop technical competencies for the enhancement of efficacy of nursing in clinical,
research and educational endeavors.

NCM 203 CARE OF CLIENTS WITH PROBLEMS IN OXYGENATION, FLUID & ELECTROLYTE BALANCE, METABOLISM AND ENDOCRINE CREDIT: 14 UNITS This course deals with the principle and technique of nursing care management of sick clients across
lifespan in any setting with alterations/problems in oxygenation, fluid and electrolyte balance,
metabolism and endocrine.
MATH 300 BIOSTATISTIC CREDIT: 3 UNITS
This course introduces to the fundamentals of statistics and their application in various field of
inquiry. Topics covered basic statistical concepts, collection, presentation of data, measures of
central tendency, dispersion, skewness, kurtosis, introduction to statistical inferences, simple test of
hypothesis, regression and correlation analysis. This course gives emphasis on application through
problem solving and data analysis.
SOC SCI 200 ECONOMICS WITH TAXATION & LAND REFORM CREDIT: 3 UNITS
This course offers an avenue for the students to realize his role as member of the economic society. It makes him awake that the country’s resources are scarce and human wants are unlimited. Thus, this subject will help him make efficient and relevant choices as regard to the management of his resources to help more toward a more productive and contented individual of his community.
On the second part of the course focused on Taxation and Agrarian Reform designed to initially provide the students with the knowledge and practical working of the laws on taxation that is the main bulk of the government revenues and may said to be very life blood of every government in order for it to exist.
HUM 301 HUMANITIES (WORLD CIVILIZATION AND LITERATURE) CREDIT: 3 UNITS A study of the importance of social, political, scientific and economic history of the world from the ancient time to the present. It also identify contributions of great civilizations, the emergence of nations,
geographical and industrial discoveries and other elements/factors that have shaped contemporary also brings about an understanding of modern conflicts and their causes, effects and impacts SOC SCI 300 LIFE, WORKS AND WRITING OF RIZAL CREDIT: 3 UNITS This course deals with the study of the life, works, and writing of Dr. Jose Rizal. The course primarily focuses on Rizal’s important literary works and writing that contributed to the shaping of the 19th century Filipino Nationalism which led to the separatist revolution in 1896 against Spanish colonial regime. It also includes Rizal’s childhood years, his academic and professional endeavors, his travel abroad, and contribution to the La Solidaridad Associations in its campaign for reforms in the Philippines. NCM 204 CARE OF CLIENTS WITH PROBLEMS IN INFLAMATORY AND MMUNOLOGIC RESPONSE, PERCEPTION AND COORDINATION Credit: 9 UNITS This course deals with the concepts, principles and theories of human behavior and the care of the sick client across the lifespan with emphasis on the adult and the older person, population group experiencing alterations in Inflammatory and Immunologic Response and perception and coordination in varied settings.
NCM 205 CARE OF CLIENTS WITH MALADAPTIVE PATTERNS OF BEHAVIOR CREDIT: 6 UNITS This course is designed to focus on care and management of client/family/population groups with psychosocial difficulties and psychiatric illness across the lifespan. SOC SCI 401 PHILIPPINE HISTORY, GOVERNMENT & CONSTITUTION CREDIT:3 UNITS This course covers the historical events in the Philippines from the pre-colonial times up to the present. It also gives emphasis and importance on instilling the value of nationalism in every Filipino. The integration of Political Science shall deal with an extensive discussion and presentation of the development, organization, and operation of the political system of the country. It covers the concepts, theories and principles of Political Science and the analysis of the Philippine Constitution and its importance to our way of life.
N 108A NURSING RESEARCH I CREDIT: 3 UNITS This is a course designed to equip students with concepts/principles in nursing research focusing on the conceptual and design and planning phase of the research process.
N 109A ELECTIVE COURSE I CREDIT: 2 UNITS Nursing

This course deals with the history, philosophy, theories, principles, process, modes and interventions of spiritual care. with the principles and techniques of nursing care management of sick clients across lifespan in
varied setting with alterations/problems in inflammatory and immunologic reactions, cellular
aberrations, acute biologic crisis, including emergency and disaster nursing and IV therapy.
N 112A COMPETENCY APPRAISAL I CREDIT: 3 UNITS This
course deals with the application of the concepts, principles and processes basic to the practice of
nursing with emphasis on health promotion, health maintenance, preventive, risk reduction
curative and rehabilitative aspect of care for the mother, child and family, population group and
