Hello Mrs Harcus, Flat Jace had a fun adventure at Island Lake which is 30km north west of Athabasca. He has been out playing in the yard and jumping on the trampoline. Unfortunately he hurt his leg but luckily I'm a nurse and managed to bandage him up. He has been helping to carve pumpkins. he sure has some great ideas! He ran a cross country race with Liam and Jessica and he won first! He has been a great house guest.

Thank youCathy, Jessica and Liam Meyer

Dear Mrs. Harcus,

I was absolutely delighted to have a visit with Flat Nicholas. What a great project! I was a little disappointed that I was not traveling at this particular time. Had he decided to come in April, I could have taken him to the south of France. Oh well, I guess home will have to do.

I live in beautiful Kamloops, British Columbia, and have included 2 pictures of the city from opposite sides (pictures #1 and #4). The name Kamloops comes from the Secwepemc word Tk’emlups, which means “river junction” as it is here that the North Thompson and South Thompson Rivers meet. From here, the river flows into Kamloops Lake, then into the mighty Fraser and eventually into the Pacific Ocean.

Kamloops is a great place for lots of outdoor recreation as we are only an hour away from Sun Peaks and fabulous skiing. (Sorry Flat Nicholas, too early for skiing - have to come back in a couple of months.)

If we travel an hour east of Kamloops we get to the Shuswap Lake, where we have a cabin. This is where pictures #2 and #3 were taken. Flat Nicholas was able to meet up with his little friend Molly, who lives in Salmon Arm, and try out the sailboard.

I hope Flat Nicholas has had a great time - I’m sure he has had lots of interesting adventures.

Yours truly,Leanne Knowles

PS Just a little note to you Mrs. Harcus as I am curious about something. My daughter went to elementary school here in Kamloops with a girl named Jennifer Harcus. Her Mom was a teacher named Lillian. Any relation?

Hi Mrs. Harcus,

Please find attached some pictures of Flat Cameron during his recent visit with us here in the beautiful Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, British Columbia! He arrived in town just in time to help me deliver some super cute wiener dog puppies at the clinic that I work at...delivering puppies is always a lot of fun.The Comox Valley has a lot of great things to do. It's been an exceptionally foggy week in the Valley. We spent some time at the beach where we have lots of seals and great blue herons to admire. FC saw the Comox Glacier when the fog finally cleared, it's a popular weekend hike for a lot of visitors. The snow is too deep this time of year, maybe we'll get a chance to hike up next time. The Valley is also one of the few places that the Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds demonstration team practice their flying routines every year. FC got to see one of the jets on display in the Valley. The residents in the area get to enjoy free shows daily during the spring while they warm up for their shows. The Valley is surrounded by large mountains in almost all directions, and where there are no mountains there is the ocean. The Comox Valley has a lot to offer, but a week just isn't enough time to see if all! We hope Flat Cameron can come back next time and stay a little longer to enjoy some skiing at Mount Washington, some whale watching and maybe even a little kayaking. Thanks for sending FC out for a visit! Take careMireille de Winter (Auntie M)
