No-Q Assignment
“Realisation of a fast and reliable (physical) border passage concept. The concept must have the ability to generically function in a diversity of border control contexts, and is future proof and flexible as towards the use of new
technologies. The concept has to be passenger and user friendly, must have an optimal fit with existing logistical processes and can be operated
at reasonable cost for the stakeholders involved”.
Interesting features:
• Contract for between 36 and 80 gates over 5 year term.
• The contract contains Implementation and Maintenance for up to 5 years.
• Accenture will procure the eGates from Vision-Box and lease them to the client. During the lease period, the gates are Accenture property.
• Predictable cost model. We charge a fixed amount per installation and an fixed amount per month of maintenance. Next to this, we have a change control process and a ratecard for hiring people.
The challenge!

Border and Identity Services: Innovation & Value DeliveredEnhance Security• At US-VISIT, over 300,000 wanted criminals identified and over 10M+ known immigration violations identified.• Aadhaar program has reached 285.7M enrollments and provided a multimodal SDK to help UIDAI detect and reduce
identity fraud such as: misrepresentation of information, multiple registrations by same resident, registration for non-existent residents, or personification as someone else.
Reduce Cost• US-VISIT reduced the time for adding a new organization from nine months to three weeks, reducing costs by 90%.• Integration of Aadhaar direct cash transfer s will save the government approximately 5% of GDP.• Using less physical space at Schiphol airport and processing more travelers helps to introduce greater cost
efficiencies and position the airport for future growth.
Improve Facilitation• Since April 2012, over 1M passengers have passed through e-Gates at Schiphol airport with reduced wait times from
an average of 30 minutes to less than 5 minutes.• The Aadhaar program creates the opportunity to improve social and economic inclusion with the potential to create an
additional 37.5M jobs by 2020.• More than 40% of consumers have provided Aadhaar information to gas agencies and 15% of consumers have
provided their details to banks for Direct Benefit Transfers.
Privacy and Integrity• The Portuguese National ID Pilot for the “Citizen Card” replaces 5 cards used by citizens for: national identification,
tax number, social security, health services and elections.• The European Union data privacy act has been successful in creating an environment where trust and privacy can be
maintained, enabling the development of the European Visa Information System, which will support the exchange of visa data across border management authorities.
