• 63% of headteachers are over 50

• In the primary sector 57% are 50+ and in the secondary sector 76%

• There are no headteachers under 30 in primary and none under 40 in secondary

• In primary schools 18% are between 31 and 40

• 38% of primary DHT’s are over 50 (60%secondary DHT’s)

• In primary schools .3% are between 21 -30.
