i. No Report 7. Executive Board Reports

a. President i. VPAA Student Forum:

i. Thank you to everyone who attended. Disappointed with governments attendance at these events. Asking for half an hour of time and last year during 2020 government asked to be a part of the new search and have student feedback and got what we asked for and are not taking the opportunity now to be involved.

ii. Tracey: Eye opening where these people come from. We know our current VPAA, so we know the shoes they have to fill.

iii. Anna: Senior and still able to see where Molloy is going to go in the next years. Make sure Molloy continues with school spirit through admissions. Wish more people had the same experience.

iv. Matt: Valuable learning who they are especially if they get the position. Did the last candidate every get rescheduled?

v. Anja: The last candidate cancelled and declined due to a family concern. Came to a decision: TBA!

vi. RGB: Offer some insight about the second candidate: very researched based and experienced through a different approach.

vii. Tracey: The school she worked at last has transitioned from a college to a university.

ii. Event Feedbacki. Homecoming:

a. Anna: Event was amazing. So much opportunities for the students, family, and alumni. Loved the bands, food truck. Upset with the pictures- not one single picture of the clubs is on the Flickr.

b. Jeffrey: Lack of supplies for the popcorn and cotton candy machine. They should also be cleaned after every event.

c. Sarah: What did you guys think of the food? Personally I know they ran out of sandwiches early.

d. RGB: As for quality people like the corn and food trucks. e. Ronnie: A lot of people like the food trucks.f. Anja: Wasn’t there, but heard people loved the corn. g. Tracey: got there at 2, no Lackman food was left. The food truck line

was long, but it was worth it.

Page 5: Government…  · Web viewMolloy Student Government. November 10. th, 2015 . Agenda. Call to Order. at. 3: 32pm. Roll Call . Approval of Minutes . 10-27-15. Liz Meittinis, Community

h. Liz: It was great being there all day, but didn’t like the big gap between lunch and mass… nothing’s going on. It forces all the parents and students to leave, meanwhile there’s mass at 5. Usually only alumni attend- 25 people in Madison Theatre.

i. Janine: We just had a wrap up meeting about Homecoming and that was the same feedback. Moving forward going to consolidate the whole day and kick it off with lunch and amp up the event. There are no students on the homecoming committee (going to ask for volunteers come April about this further more).

ii. Conversations with the President:a. Anna: We need a student forum! And a time when Dr. Bogner can sit

with the students and hear our concerns. b. Angelica: Maybe change the name from conversation to something

with campus updates. But this is what Dr. Bogner wants to call it. Well bring it up to have campus update and then have a student forum with questions. Conversation Mary-Kate Michels and Janine will have a discussion with Dr. Bogner about it.

c. Gina: Used to have a student forum- stopped because of 2020.d. Nick D.: Academic Forum was good, but there was department’s

represented and it’s the best forum we have to express our opinions. Conversation with Drew: Everything he says should go to the student body. This event was PRed. Maybe send out minutes? And do a campus update and email the student body, maybe add the floor plan.

iii. Clearly Crystals:a. David: Impressed with them. It costs $3,350, 200 crystals were given

out. $16.27 a crystal. b. Sarah: Maybe do the event every other year, since the cost.c. Mel: Personally don’t like the crystals but other people love them.

Worthwhile doing every year for the student body. d. Matt: Having worked the event, there needs to be a better line system

or a second machine going. e. Samantha Drexler: Next year get a list of the student body, so people

don’t walk away with more than one. f. Nick D.: Find a better location for the event.

b. Vice Presidenti. Constitution Committee Interest:

i. Going to be formed soon. Who is interested and has the time to be on the Committee? : Liz Meittinis, Sam Novak, John Bruno, Will Torres, Ryan Gribbin-Burket, Jackie Bassey, Afsha Malik, Sarah Losner, Mel Guida, Megan Scali, Mary-Kate Hickey, and Samantha Drexler.

ii. Member of the Month: Chose one person and one sector. iii. Event Feedback

i. Selfies with Victor E. Lion:a. Jake: If you’re going to wear the suit be prepared you’re not going to

class after it. Make the picture spots mobile! ii. Maroon Madness:

a. There was about 400 people, the turnout was good. b. Gina: It was terrible getting into the gym. c. Janine: On the Maroon Madness Committee, and next year were going

to move the entrance to the double doors. While the players will come from the DJ box or the other side of the gym. Any ideas for different giveaways? Also, next year we will do a t-shirt contest to pick the t-shirt design.

d. Announcer should be more in control about the games and dancing competition

e. Menaza: Talked to SAAC about this, next year they will try to be more aware. Wing competition will be moved to happen in Hays before. As well as sound will be better too (Molloy getting new sound panels in the gym). Getting rid of the dunking contest.

f. Ryan: Any contest, the judge can’t have his back to the crowd. g. Jackie: Add more audience participation. People lost interest. Same

people were in the same competitions.c. Treasurer
