IMPORTANT INFORMATION
As per the newly inserted Regulation viz. 9A common counselling notified in Gazette of India No. MCI-18(1)/2016-Med./176290 dated 11.03.2017 to Post Graduate Medical Education (Amendment) Regulations, 2017, the counselling for all Post Graduate courses (Diploma/MD/MS) for the Management Quota of the Self Financing Medical Colleges including minority and non-minority institutions and Medical Colleges under Deemed Universities shall be conducted by the Secretary, Selection Committee by conducting common counseling on the basis of merit list of NEET-PG 2017 for the year 2017-2018 session.
The Process of registration for admission to Post Graduate Degree / Diploma Courses 2017-2018 session to Management Quota seats in Self Financing Medical Colleges in Tamil Nadu is to be undertaken online at the websites
Any change or modification and relevant information pertaining to this admission process will be made available immediately on the websites www.tnhealth.org/ www.tnmedicalselection.org
The candidates are instructed to visit the websites at least two times a day
for updates from the date of application till the end of admission process without fail. Selection committee shall not be responsible for consequences resulting due to non-diligent follow-up of notices, notification and publications appearing on the websites regarding admission to Post Graduate Degree / Diploma Courses 2017-2018 session.
Candidates are advised to read the prospectus carefully before starting
online registration and ensure that no mandatory column is left blank. In the event of rejection of the application form, no correspondence/request for re-consideration will be entertained.
Candidates are advised to read the Information Bulletin for NEET PG 2017
issued by National Board of Examination (NBE) and carefully go through the instructions regarding on NEET-PG 2017 and visit the website www.nbe.edu.in regarding detailed qualifying criteria for ADMISSION TO POST GRADUATE DEGREE / DIPLOMA 2017-2018 session
Candidates are also advised to visit the websites of the concerned Medical
Institution for the courses offered by them, fees structure and other conditions etc.
Candidates who are completing OR likely to complete their internship
AFTER 31st March 2017 need not apply as they shall be ineligible to participate at any stage of the admission process.
The extract of paragraph 16.3 from information bulletin for NEET PG 2017 issued by National Board of Examination is reproduced below for the information of candidates.
16.3 GENERATION OF STATE/ PRIVATE MEDICAL COLLEGES /
UNIVERSITY MERIT LIST / ELIGIBILITY LIST (For State Quota
Seats/Private Colleges and Universities)
a) The state quota seats and the seats in private medical
colleges/universities shall also be filled by utilizing the result of NEET-
PG. No state government /private medical college/universities
including the states of Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana & Andhra Pradesh
shall be conducting any entrance exam at their own level. b) NBE shall be providing only the data of candidates and their scores in
NEET-PG 2017 to the States/Private Universities/Institutes without
applying eligibility criteria, reservation criteria etc of the concerned
states/ UT, Private Universities or Institutes. It may be noted that for
State Quota seats/admission to Private Universities/Institutes - final
eligibility, state category, State category rank, benefit for In-service
candidates, rural posting (if applicable) etc shall be determined/
generated by the designated agency/authority/University of the
concerned States as per applicable Regulation and/or their eligibility
criteria, guidelines and applicable reservation policies. c) NBE does not verify the information provided by the candidates
during online registration and hence candidature will be purely
provisional subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria as mentioned in
the Information Bulletin for NEET-PG 2017 & criteria of State /
Universities / Institutions concerned. d) Candidates must verify from the respective state governments /
Private Universities & Institutes if at all they will be considered for
admission to State Quota Post Graduate seats/Institute Pool based on
applicable Regulation and /or domicile criteria, State/Institute of
Graduation, reservation policy etc. Merely appearing/passing in
NEET-PG 2017 does not make a candidate qualified and/or eligible for
State Quota Seats/admission to Private Universities & Institutes.

I.GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: 1.(a) Candidates seeking admission to PG Degree / Diploma courses in Management Quota in Self Financing Medical Colleges should submit the print out of online application form with necessary enclosures and Demand Draft for
3000/-(which is Non-refundable) towards the cost of application form drawn in favour of The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai-10 payable at Chennai which should reach on or before 05.04.2017 upto 5.00 P.M. to the following address

(b)The candidates shall ensure that the print out of online application form with enclosures reaches the Selection Committee within the date and time specified i.e. on or before 05.04.2017 upto 5.00 P.M. Applications received by Speed post / courier or any other means, after the last date & time will not be accepted. (c) The Selection Committee shall not be responsible for any delay in the receipt or for the loss in transit of application form. (d) No oral enquiry would be entertained. II.ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for P.G. Degree / Diploma Courses. 2. Candidates should be Citizen of India 3. (a) All candidates seeking admission to Post Graduate Medical Degree/Diploma courses in Management Quota of the Self Financing Medical Colleges including minority and non-minority institutions in the State of Tamil Nadu for the academic year 2017-2018 shall have to qualify the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET-PG 2017 conducted by the National Board of Examinations. It shall be necessary for the candidate to obtain minimum of marks at 50th percentile in ‘NEET-PG 2017. However, in respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Classes the minimum marks shall be at 40th percentile. In respect of candidates with locomotor disability of lower limbs, the minimum marks shall be at 45th percentile.

(b) Candidates who have passed their MBBS Examination and completed / completing the CRRI period on or before 31-03-2017 are eligible to apply. However the candidates should possess the permanent Medical Council Registration Certificates of the States or of India at the time of counseling. The candidates who are undergoing CRRI should submit a self-declaration that their CRRI will be completed on or before 31-03-2017. Applications will be summarily rejected, if the candidate has not furnished the above said self-declaration form. 4. Candidates should possess M.B.B.S. Degree of any University recognized by the Medical Council of India. Candidates who have qualified from other Universities should produce ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATE from University in which candidates seeking admission. 5. (a) The duration of Post Graduate Degree Courses is three years. (b) The duration of Post Graduate Degree Courses for the Diploma Candidates who have undergone two year courses shall be Two years in the same Speciality and three years in other speciality. The above concession is not applicable for those who have undergone one year Diploma course either in same or other speciality. (c) The duration of all Diploma Courses is Two years. III. NOT ELIGIBLE 6. Candidates who are undergoing a Postgraduate Degree / PG Diploma / DNB courses are not eligible to apply for any Post Graduate Degree / Diploma Courses. IV. PROCEDURE FOR FILLING THE APPLICATION: 7. (a) The candidate should fill the online application form available in the Website with the data required-for, through internet. The on-line application form will be available on the website www.tnhealth.org / www.tnmedicalselection.org from10.00 AM on 29.03.2017 to 04.04.2017upto 5.45 p.m.
(b) Candidates seeking admission to PG Degree / Diploma courses should submit the print out of online application form with necessary enclosures and Demand Draft for 3000/- (which is Non-refundable) towards the cost of
application form drawn in favour of The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai-10 payable at Chennai which should reach on or before 05.04.2017 by 5.00 P.M. to the following address

(c) Print out of online Application forms with incomplete or insufficient
particulars or without enclosures or Demand Draft for 3000/- (Which is Non Refundable) or those received after the last date mentioned will be summarily rejected (without any intimation to the candidates). Applications without the Demand Draft will not be accepted. The name of the candidate and the name of the course (PG Degree / Diploma in Management Quota of the Self Financing Medical Colleges) should be written on the reverse of the Demand Draft.
(d) Candidates should send the printout of online application with all enclosures in an A4 size cloth lined cover. The template with requisite details available for download should be printed and pasted on the cover.
(e) AR Number will be assigned by the Selection Committee
(f) Procedure of filling online application is given in detail with Annexure.(I) 8. The Government Orders issued and to be issued from time to time pertaining to any of the matters contained in the prospectus should be read as part and parcel of this prospectus and such terms and conditions in the Government Order are deemed to have been incorporated in this prospectus. 9. Only recent passport size photograph should be uploaded at the time of online submission 10. Candidates must enclose only the Photocopies Self attested documents in the order as indicated below:
(a) NEET-PG 2017-Score Card
(b)MBBS / Diploma course completion certificate from the college where
the candidate has undergone the course.
(c) MBBS / Diploma Degree certificate or provisional pass certificate from
the University concerned.
(d) CRRI Completion certificate from the Dean / Head of the Institution.

(e) Final MBBS Part II Mark sheets.
(f) Permanent Medical Registration certificate issued by the Medical Council
of India /State.
(g) Attempt certificates in Final MBBS Part II.
(h) Eligibility certificate from CONCERNED UNIVERSITIES. This should be
produced at the time of counseling when called for.
(i) HSC / Equivalent Examination Mark Sheet.
11. Printout of online applications without the signature of the candidates will be rejected. V. MERIT LIST: 12. The Merit List will be drawn based on the marks obtained in NEET-PG 2017 conducted by National Board of Examination 13. The Management Quota seats of the Self Financing Medical Colleges including minority and non-minority institutions will be filled based on Merit list prepared by the Secretary, Selection Committee with applicable the rules and regulations of respective Self Financing Medical Colleges. 14. The Secretary, Selection Committee will publish the Merit List on the websites http://www.tnhealth.org. / www.tnmedicalselection.org 15. DETERMINATION OF INTER-SE MERIT OF CANDIDATES WHERE MORE THAN ONECANDIDATE HAS SECURED THE SAME MARKS. The ranks of such candidates will be based on the following criteria in the order of preference given below:-
(a) Least Number of appearances in the qualifying Final MBBS Part II. (b) Seniority in age will be given preference. (c) Computerized Random Number assigned. Higher value of random number will be taken into consideration
VI. COUNSELLING PROCEDURE: 16. (a) Admission to PG Degree / Diploma courses, shall be made by counseling on the basis of merit.
(b) Candidates will be called for counseling according to their ranks in batches.
(c) Candidates can choose any one of the branches or colleges available at the time of counseling.
(d) Option once given during the counseling cannot be changed later.
(e) Mutual transfers will not be permitted under any circumstances.
(f) Candidates selected for admission should give a declaration in the form given at the time of Counseling that he / she is liable for forfeiture of selection / admission if suppression of facts are found at any time during or after the admission to the course.
(g) The selection / admission shall be liable for cancellation based on the declaration at any time during or after the admission to the course. 17. (a) Strict discipline should be maintained by the candidates for smooth conduct of counseling. If the candidates are found to indulge in any untoward activities, they will be debarred from the counseling and selection for the present and subsequent sessions.
(b) The candidates appearing for allotment by personal appearance should bring the documents enclosed along with application in original. In any case candidates without original certificates / documents, shall not be allowed to participate in the counseling. Candidates who have deposited their original documents to Institutions / Universities and come for counseling with a certificate stating that “their original certificates are submitted to the institution/ University” will NOT be allowed to participate in the counseling. 18. Any change or modification and relevant information pertaining to this admission process will be made available immediately on the website. (www.tnhealth.org / www.tnedicalselection.org) The candidates are instructed to visit the websites from the date of application till the end of counseling without fail. All information including the date of counseling will be put up in the websites. 19. Unauthorised absence of candidates for one month and more after joining the course will be treated as ‘discontinued’ and the vacancy will be filled up by the Selection Committee depending on the availability of time before the cutoff date. 20. All candidates attending the counseling for PG Degree / Diploma Course will have to remit a non-refundable amount of 5,000/- as processing fee by means of Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai-10.
21. The admissions to Post Graduate Degree / Diploma Course for 2017-2018 will close on the cutoff date of admission (i.e. on 31-05-2017) as per the Guidelines issued by the Medical Council of India and DGHS.
VII. METHOD OF SELECTION AND ADMISSION:
22. (a).Management Quota seats in Self Financing Colleges: Out of the seats sanctioned for Post Graduate Diploma/Degree Courses 50% of the total recognised / permitted seats in each speciality in Minority Self Financing Colleges and 35% of the total recognised / permitted seats in each speciality in Non-Minority Self Financing Colleges will be allotted under management Quota .
(b) Candidates are advised to go through the respective college websites
and satisfy themselves regarding Medical Council of India approvals, infrastructure and the rules and regulations. 23. For the available vacancies arising due to discontinued and not joined candidates allotted during the first phase of counseling and re-allotment of courses / colleges will be permitted as per merit. 24. During the second phase of counseling all can attend the counseling for the available vacancies arising due to discontinued and not joined candidates allotted during the first phase.
25. (a) Allotment will be made only for the seats affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr.
MGR Medical University for the Academic Year 2017-2018 session. Seats approved
by the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University for P.G. Diploma/ Degree courses
for 2017–2018 session will be displayed before counseling.
(b) Some seats may be permitted but not recognized by Medical Council of
India at the time of counseling. Therefore the candidate should well examine these
points and refer MCI website before opting for a seat. The Selection Committee
shall neither be responsible nor shall entertain any case on above grounds.
VIII. TUITION FEE
26. Tuition Fee for Management Quota seats in Self Financing Medical Colleges will be as prescribed by “the Committee on Fixation of Fee in respect of Self Financing Professional Colleges”

The above fee structure is applicable for 2017-18 admissions. The selected candidates have to pay the tuition fees and other special fees etc., at the time of admission in the respective colleges
IX. COMMUNICATION:
27. All notices, notification and publications regarding admission to Post Graduate Degree / Diploma / Courses 2017-2018 session will be published on the websites www.tnhealth.org and www.tnmedicalselection.org. Selection committee shall not be responsible for consequences resulting due to non-diligent follow-up of information published on the websites
28. (a) The candidates who join Post Graduate Degree / Diploma Courses should
not indulge in any kind of agitation/ strike/ragging activity inside /outside the
college campus during the course of study. Candidates found to take part in any
such activities mentioned above will be expelled from the course/college, at any
part of the course of study and criminal action will be taken against them.
(b) The extract of letter / direction from MCI as per Letter No.MCI-34(1)/2014-Med (Ragg.)/130894, dated 11.09.2014 is given in Annexure XII for information of candidates.
29. Candidate applying for admission to Post Graduate Degree / Diploma Courses 2017-2018 session is deemed to have read the contents in this Prospectus and agrees with all the conditions and clauses and will not have the right to challenge any of the Regulations.
