GIMS
The Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha
Nagar (UP) is an autonomous medical teaching institute established by the State Government of
Uttar Pradesh established since the 15th February, 2016. The institution is registered with
Society as an autonomous institution on the lines of SGPGI Lucknow. The Chairperson of the
Institute is Shri (Dr) Anup Chandra Pandey, Chief Secretary, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh; Vice
Chairperson is Dr. Rajneesh Dube, Principal Secretary Medical Education. The current
Director of the institute is Prof. (Brig) Rakesh Gupta. The institute is affiliated to the prestigious
King George's Medical University, Lucknow.
GIMS was established with an aim to improve the status of health of the rural and urban
population of western Uttar Pradesh, by providing a state of art health facilities as well as
facilitating equitable access to quality health care through a revamped health care system,
targeted outreach services as well as involvement of community and local bodies.
GIMS is located in Greater Noida, near Kasna in Gautam Buddha Nagar and caters to the
districts of Gautam Buddha Nagar, Hapur, Bulandshehar, Khurja, Jewar, Mathura and
neighbouring areas. The Mission of the institute is to provide comprehensive medical facilities to
each and every life without discrimination along with developing GIMS as a center of excellence
in the field of health delivery system, medical education and research.
The institute has state of the art infrastructure, well equipped high-end equipment and
laboratories, along with Skill lab. The faculty is from reputed institutions, are highly experienced
and dedicated, well versed in latest Medical Education Technology and trained in newer
curriculum guidelines from the MCI. The hospital is fully functional providing comprehensive
care in all the specialties. The patient load in the OPD as well as inpatients is increasing day by
day. There are approximately 1500-2000 patients are visiting every day and more than 200
patients are admitted in the hospital.

Government Institute of Medical Sciences, GIMS Greater Noida is an upcoming
medical institute of state of Uttar Pradesh with primary aim of providing professional quality
medical care to the ailing, poor, sick & needy along with empowering the medical fraternity by
imparting education, skills to the students and research in the field of science but also to
nurture the healthy community. In today's era, the challenges to Medical science in India are:
quality health care at affordable cost to everyone, updating evidence base medicine (EBM)
with our own data, and none the least, integrating services to outreach areas and real needy
population, and we have taken all three as our "goal" with mission "Quality". Quality which
will be achieved from good intentions, dedicated efforts and skillful execution of tasks in right
direction by all members of GIMS family. Being the Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS), I feel
privileged to convey on behalf of all faculty members and staff that we GIMSonians as a team
are going to contribute our fullest efforts in fructifying the primary objective of "Quality
Medical Care" and try to touch the newer heights in near future.

Government Institute of Medical Sciences, Greater Noida, is an upcoming apex institute
with mission to provide affordable health services to all sections of the society and has been
envisioned to be in the forefront of providing excellent professional medical education, multi-
disciplinary research and state of the art tertiary care medical facilities. The institute is having
skilled, experienced and dedicated faculty members who are well versed with recent
upgradations in Medical Education Technology. Institute is well equipped with excellent
infrastructure, library facilities, student laboratories and skilled labs. The institute is received
the Letter of Permission (LOP) from Medical Council of India for admitting 100 MBBS students
for the academic year 2019-20. There will be complete focus on integrated medical curriculum
implementation that will equip medical students to face up to various challenges in their future
career and also help them to become compassionate, empathetic and responsible doctors who
can duly fulfill the needs of the society. The attached hospital is already providing full-fledged
health care facilities in all medical and surgery specialties to the patients.

providing comprehensive care in all the specialties. The patient

Boys’ Hostel
GIMS is having a separate hostel for boys, which is
situated inside the campus of Gautam Buddha University.
It is named after a famous writer of Hindi and Urdu
literature Munshi Premchand Boys hostel is having four
floors with the capacity of total 146 single rooms. Rooms
