/ Term 2 13 May 2021 Week 4 We would like to welcome Aaron Gupta and his family to our school. Aaron is in Kindergarten and has moved to Goulburn from Adelaide. I’m sure you would agree that the school hall looked like a real art gallery for our annual Operation Art afternoon. The quality and diversity of work by all students was amazing. Thank you to all those parents who were able to come and support this event. The bake stall was a great success, and this added to the vibe of the afternoon. NAPLAN is on for Years 3 and 5 during the next two weeks. All the assessments are online except for the Year 3 writing which is still completed by pen and pencil. This week, students in Years 4-6 have completed an online survey called ‘Tell Them From Me’. The students were asked a variety of questions, from participation in sports and extra-curricular activities, their sense of belonging, homework behaviour, positive relationships and attitude and perseverance. The ‘Tell Them From Me’ student survey provides the school with insights into student engagement, wellbeing and effective teaching practices at school, from the perspective of students. The school is having some major upgrades over the next few months. You may have noticed we have a new electronic sign, which was installed earlier this week. We would like to thank Veolia Mulwaree Trust for assisting us with this project. It will make such a difference as the old sign was very hard to read. The roof on the Kindergarten room will be transformed from tiles to Colorbond. This work will commence after school on Friday 14 May, when scaffolding will be brought in and erected. The job should only take a few days and the Kindergarten class will be moved to another room during this process. The hall will be receiving a much needed face lift, with new stage flooring, upgraded lighting and painting. Our school photos were taken last week, but due to the rain we were unable to get a whole school photograph. The photographers will return sometime this term to take this photo. We will let you know the date once this has been organised. The Mother’s Day stall was a great success. The quality and variety of items to purchase was well received by the students and I am sure all the mothers appreciated their gifts. Thank you to the P&C for organising and running this activity for the students. Helen Sharwood Relieving Principal Term 2 Events Monday 24 May Canberra War Memorial Excur. Term 2 13 May 2021 Week 4
We would like to welcome Aaron Gupta and his family to our school.
Aaron is in Kindergarten and has moved to Goulburn from Adelaide.
I’m sure you would agree that the school hall looked like a real art
gallery for our annual Operation Art afternoon. The quality and
diversity of work by all students was amazing. Thank you to all those
parents who were able to come and support this event. The bake stall
was a great success, and this added to the vibe of the afternoon.
NAPLAN is on for Years 3 and 5 during the next two weeks. All the
assessments are online except for the Year 3 writing which is still
completed by pen and pencil. This week, students in Years 4-6 have
completed an online survey called ‘Tell Them From Me’. The students
were asked a variety of questions, from participation in sports and
extra-curricular activities, their sense of belonging, homework
behaviour, positive relationships and attitude and perseverance. The
‘Tell Them From Me’ student survey provides the school with insights
into student engagement, wellbeing and effective teaching practices
at school, from the perspective of students.
The school is having some major upgrades over the next few months.
You may have noticed we have a new electronic sign, which was
installed earlier this week. We would like to thank Veolia Mulwaree
Trust for assisting us with this project. It will make such a difference as
the old sign was very hard to read. The roof on the Kindergarten room
