Successful 5th Annual Sing"IP Marf OntmfvThe Hart County Gospel Music
Association celebrated it's 5th year as anorganization on May 6th and 7th. A verylarge crowd attended both evenings with15 different groups appearing on Fridaynight and eighteen quartets, trios andduets and solos singing Saturday afternoonand night.
Door prizes were given away with prizesdonated by singing groups and areamerchants. A baby calf donated byCourtney and Wilma Spradlin was won byDebbie Strange.
Gospel Reaching Out wishes to expressthanks to all who advertised in ou^SouvenirBooklet,Rilon Young for trailers,which were used for our stage,lights furnished by Jr. Sturgeon, use ofWarehouse by folks at Horse CaveTobacco No. 11; Flowers given by patioand Earlenes Florist; Piano by CavemaSchool; Sound System from BillingsleyMusic Co., Glasgow, Ky. and»specialthanks to Board Members who had a partto help make the singing a great success.The groups were very cooperative and alot of talent as far as gospel music isconcerned was at the May Sing and GospelReaching Out wishes the best for each onethat had a part in this great event.
We would also like to thank MunfordvilleSchool. LeGrande and Memorial Schoolfor use of chairs. Also The CavernaJaycees furnished plenty of hot dogsand cold drinks and our thanks to themalso. We also appreciate the nightwatchman. Joe Jewell.

For The Seekers
What a wonderful weekend THE
SEEKERS had in Horse Cave with all ofthe other gospel groups. It's reallyencouraging to see so many people outtraveling for the Lord. We got back intoLexington about 2:30 Sunday morning,slept a few hours and then had twoservices during that Sunday. We will bestarting our vacation on June 18. Donniewill be going to Australia where his wifehas been visiting her parents, and theremaining SEEKERS will be spendingmuch of their time around Lexington. Wewill be singing on the same program withWindy Bagwell on June 12, also THESOUTHERNAIRES from Dayton wiU bewith us here in Lexington. The FESTIVALOF THE BLUEGRASS will be here for the
4th consecutive year and for a change thisyear they are having GOSPEL on Sunday.The program starts about 1 o'clock onJune 12 and there will be gospel singinguntil about 9 that night. The place isMasterson Station Park on Highway 421,just out of Lexington. The price at the gateis $5.00-under 12free. Why not come on outand enjoy a full day of gospel singing withus.
