Russian people .We asked our classmates the question:

Whom can you be proud of in this country?Look,

what we’ve got.

Aleksandr SergeevichPushkin (on June, 6th 1799,Moscow — on February, 10th1837, St.-Petersburg) — theRussian poet, the playwrightand the prose writer, thereformer of Russian literarylanguage. We admire Pushkin.He is recognized as thegreatest Russian poet, hisworks are considered as thereference sample of Russianliterary language. During hislifetime he was called thegenius.

Aleksandr Vasilyevich Suvorov(1729-1800). His name becamelegendary during his life. Hebecame famous as an unsurpassedtactician and strategist, as a creatorof own school of art of war andmilitary education. He created his“Science to win” and wan a lot ofbattles. Suvorov became theproperty of our history and thankfulmemory of Russian folk.

Excellent master-landscape-painter,A. M. Vasnetzov ( 1856-1933) becamefamous as a connoisseur andinspired poet of old Moscow. Rarelywhoever, once seeing, will notmemorize his pictures, water-colours, pictures, recreatingperturbing fairy-tale and at the sametime so convincingly the realappearance of ancient Russian thecapital.

We admire Ilya Repin as the higherachievements of Russian realisticpainting of a XIX century areconnected with him. He hadoutstanding talent. Repin occupiesone of foregrounds in the history notonly Russian, but also the Europeanpainting. His pictures are the wholeworlds which have endured theirfounder and leading independent life,in a fit of temper and minds ofmillions.

Victor Tzoy (1962-1990). Welove and respect Victor Tzoybecause he sang and wrotegood songs. He acted in the film "Igla".People loved him, in fact his concerts collectedthe whole stadiums ofadmirers.He will remain in ourmemory for a long time!

Anastasiya Zavorotnyuk (onApril, 3 1971)became famousafter the main role of the nurse inthe serial “My beautiful nurse”.Anastasiya Zavorotnyuk is anactress of theater and cinema foralmost 15 years. Nastya actedmore than in 8 films and playedthe countless amount of roles inthe theater.

Andrej Arshavin (on May, 29th1981, Leningrad) — the Russianfootball player, the deservedmaster of sports of Russia (2008).He played in the positions of thesecond attacking, playmaker,attacking halfback. He became oneof the basic players of the nationalRussian team. We are proud of him.Henine years played successfullyfor St.-Petersburg "Zenit". SinceFebruary, 2009 he is the player ofLondon "Arsenal".

Nikolay Rubtzov was born inVologda Region in 1936.Heis a famous Russian poet.Alot of his poems becamesongs. He wrote about hislife, about the nature of hisMotherland.

We are proud of Vladimir Korbakov, oneof the brightest painters of Vologda. Hehas reflected many essential lines ofstylistics of domestic painting of secondhalf of the XX century in his works.Almost half a century his art is in thecentre of attention of colleagues-artists,experts, fans and collectors of painting.Products of the artist since 1956 areconstantly exhibited at the big and smallart exhibitions of Russia and abroad.The pictures of Korbakov leave nobodyindifferent. People speak about them,argue, write the artist praise andcriticize.

Amalia Goldanskaya is an actress andthe radio leader, the constant authorand the leader of the program «Kindhunting!» On Echo of Moscow. Shefinished theatrical school of. V.Schukin.In 1995-1998 she worked at the theatre"Lencom", later she passed to theMoscow theatre of Mayakovsky. Sheplayed in different films: “Road toparadise”, “Hunting for theCinderella”.She has played someleading roles in serials. We are proudthat for theatrical works Amalia isawarded by «Crystal Turandot».

We respect our basketball team “Chevakata”. Since 1998 it plays tothe Super league, showing stable results and it is the most knownteam from Vologda. The higher achievement — the third place in theChampionship of Russia in a season of 2000-2001. Since 1999 thecommand takes part in Euro cups in national superiority one of thebest results for all history of the club are shown: 5 place in theSuper league Championship, 4 place in the Championship ofRussia; an exit in quarterfinals of draws of the Cup of Russia andthe FIBA-EUROPAS Cup.

There are much more outstanding people
