Such sound check shall be approximately two (2) hours in length, shall be uninterrupted, and shall not be compromised. The last 45 minutes the room shall be cleared of all personnel except for immediate running crew so that the artist may rehearse. This includes all hotel or venue staff which may be working in the room at the time of the sound check. SOUND SYSTEM SPEAKERS: Mains must be professional industry standard powered or passive speakers, with appropriate amplification if passive. Meyer, JBL, L’Acoustics, and D&B are examples of acceptable brands. All components in the sound system must be functioning correctly and must be free from any distortion or other defects before the sound system is set up. Please confirm each box is functioning properly before flying the rig. SYSTEM CONFIGURATION: System must be set up in a manner so as to provide even coverage throughout the audience seating area, with subs, front fills, out fills, and delay speakers (EACH ON AN AUX BUS) as needed. System must be capable of producing a sound pressure level of 110 dB unweighted, at the house mix position. The mix position must not be enclosed for any reason. HOUSE MIX POSITION APPROVAL: FOH mix position must be approved by the sound engineer or production manager no later than fourteen (14) days prior to engagement. In addition, the system is subject to final approval on day of first performance. HOUSE MIX POSITION: FOH mix position must be located within the system’s coverage pattern, preferably near center, approximately two-thirds of the distance from the stage to the rear of the seating area whenever possible. It should not be directly under any balcony or overhead obstruction. LIGHTING AND STAGE
FOLLOW SPOTLIGHTS:
(1) A minimum of two (2) Xenon Super Troupers or equivalent, with a qualified and experienced
operator for each unit. Units are to be supplied with at least one spare lamp.
(2) Minimum 48 – 1-K par 64 medium throw lamps located on two (2) trusses. One truss upstage and
one truss down stage.
(3) Stage colors preferred are Blue #83, Purple #49 and Amber #22. These would be the primary
stage washes. Any added creativity would be helpful and appreciated.
(4) One light board operator
COMMUNICATIONS
Please provide Clear-Com hand set between the House Mix and Monitor Mix position on a single
discreet channel (Channel A). Channel B should be a line of communications to the Light Board
Operators position and Channel C should go to the I-Mag Directors position
IMAG
A complete I-MAG system will be provided if the audience attendance is over three hundred (300)
people. This will also include no less than (2) camera positions with operators. The screen position
should be left and right of the stage and not directly upstage unless that screen is well above the
performance area.
STAGE
Stage size shall be no smaller than 24’ in depth and 40’ in width. If the sound system will be ground
stacked, sound wings will be added so no speakers are placed on the stage. STAGE HEIGHT should be
appropriate for venue but should be high enough so the artist’s feet can be seen while performing.
STAGE FLOOR
Stage floor shall be strong, sturdy, free of gaps or other irregularities and of quality construction, with
a clean, smooth, non-carpeted surface (i.e. devoid of holes or protrusions) to prevent injury to
performers or damage to equipment. If needed a Marley or parquet dance floor surface will be added
to accommodate dancing on stage.
STEP UNITS
Step units are to be provided from stage into the audience. These step units are to be located down
stage center, without hand rails and safety marked with white tape or glow tape. Please provide each
riser on stage with steps positioned upstage out of the audience site line clearly marked with white
tape or glow tape for added safety.
RISERS, PLATFORMS
(1) Risers and/or platforms to conform to attached band stage plot. One 8X8 Drum riser, 12” tall
(2) Above listed risers/platforms must be sturdily built.
(3) All risers will have permanent carpeted surfaces. No throw rugs.
PROP TABLE
One (1) 2’ X 3’ prop table must be provided with black cloth covering table completely to stage floor.
The legs must not show from any angle. This table should be sturdy and non-rolling. The prop table
must be in place prior to afternoon sound check.
