Reportedly, 150 people died and hundreds are injured in various parts of

the areas bordering Nepal. Purnea, Katihar, Madhepura, Saharsa, Supaul,

Madhubani, Darbhanga and Sitamarhi are the worst affected districts..

Our team immediately rushed to the affected areas to assess the urgent

needs & situation

A temporary base camp was set up in Purnea

10 trucks load of relief material has been sent so far

Team working closely with the volunteers for reaching the relief material

3000 Daries and 2600 Blankets..

Distribution of 3481 family kits comprising of clothes, ration, utensils,

cloth sanitary pads, toys & games..

Over 25000 kgs of ration..

high magnitude caused further devastation o 12th May..

Goonj intensified its relief work much more as the need for relief material increased.. Team in Bihar is working day in and day out to

reach all those who have been affected ..

1500 gunny bags of clothes & woolens, solar lights, wheelchairs, crutches, My- Pads,

biscuits, utensils & pressure cookers etc..

Reached 30 villages in 3 different blocks.. With the focussed areas being

those villages, where no relief material had reached..
