The focus of the GoodGuides program is to increase the resiliency of the youth to make good decisions for their future with the emphasis on career exploration. John Pryor spoke of the
inspiration behind writing the book,
He talked about the famous game
in 1949 where the East High School Blades, a school of 1400
strong beat Bakersfield High School Drillers 20-19, a powerful
school with over 5500 students. The Drillers were expected to win;
they were the Baby Giants according to the sports
