Welcome to the second half of Week 2. Below you will find everything that you need to know to accessyour work for the next three days.

Hopefully you were able to speak to your teachers on Tuesday over Zoom. If not, don’t worry we haveanother Zoom session planned for Thursday (10:30-11:00am).

Please only submit the work requested by your teachers on Seesaw. These activities are marked with a** in the overview so you can clearly see which ones to submit.

A reminder to keep all your work together to bring in to your teachers whenwe go back to school.

WritingToday we are learning about 2 types of poems, Narrative andHaiku.

1. Narrative poems tell a story. They use rhythm and rhyme.

2. Haiku poems are a traditional Japanese poem with only 3 lines. Watch the video below

subject and tells you where it would be found. This helps to direct us straight to the books

we need, rather than wasting time trying to find the correct shelf by ourselves.

Visual Arts

Earlier in the week you looked at artworks created byBronwyn Bancroft. Now it is your turn to create an artworkusing Bronwyn Bancroft as inspiration using line, colourand pattern. Make sure your artwork is your best work asyou will upload it to Seesaw.

First, sketch an outline of a tree onto a blank piece of paper.Next, add in your patterns and lines. Look at Bronwyn Bancroft pictures for ideas.Now using art supplies you have available to you (coloured pencils, textas, paint, crayon)colour in your artwork.

**Finally, go to your activities in Seesaw and open the ‘Gum Tree Art’ activity and followthe instructions.

Afternoon Please choose two of the next three activities. Post your workon your class Seesaw so that Mrs Burbage can see all yourwonderful efforts.

Drama - The ‘Um’ Game

Use a stopwatch or phone timer for this activity. Choose anytopice.g. My favourite sport, Fun food, Things I like about homeschooling, Zoo animals, My ideal holiday

Talk about that topic for as long as you can (max. 1 ½ minutes), without saying the word‘um’. If you do, stop the timer and restart. You can attempt this using different topics.
