Snowdrop Week & ExhibitionOpen daily from 15th - 23rd February 2020

Wrap up warm for a winter walk full of snowdrops, aconites and hellebores. This year’s botanical art exhibition, titled British Wildflowers, will feature the work of 3 accomplished artists. Enjoy delicious teas and light lunches, follow the amazing story of the gardens in the history room and take home your own Easton snowdrops.

Sweet Pea WeekOpen daily from 5th - 12th July 2020

Every year we raise many varieties of sweet pea plants from seed in the greenhouses. You can see heritage, modern, scented, striped, flake and bicolour sweet peas displayed on drums and wigwams. There are 50 varieties of roses flowering and the summer meadows reach their peak.

When we started to reclaim this 400-year-old garden in 2001, I had no idea if we could make a permanent difference. All the buildings were on the National At Risk Register and self-sown trees swamped the grounds (abandoned when the house was demolished in 1951). That was 18 years ago and the chaos has now been replaced by meadows, sweet peas, roses, vegetables, cutflowers and drifts of bulbs in a stunning parkland setting.

The revival of the gardens has put the heart back into the village and most of our community now has some involvement from taking group bookings to serving your tea or helping to harvest sweet pea seed. It’s not just people who benefit, the gardens are

managed to create different habitats for butterflies, bees, birds and mammals. The rose meadows, terraces and spring meadows provide a sanctuary for wildlife and the river draws a diverse number of animals and birds to the gardens throughout the year.

We love sharing our beautiful garden and look forward to welcoming both new and returning visitors in 2020.

Our popular country market is now in its 15th year and it continues to grow. Showcasing over 60 stalls of the region’s best artisan crafts and produce. Enjoy craft demonstrations, plant sales and much more at this wonderful event.
