The name Pythagoras means “He who unveils Divine Wisdom”.
“School of Divine Wisdom”, being the first mixed university in the western world with over 3,000 resident pupils.
After an enriching 40 year-long journey of initiation, which Pythagoras begins in his adolescence, he founds the Pythagoras school in the Isle of Crotona, called
From those known as “The Seven wise men of Greece”, Pythagoras absorbs the basis of western philosophy .
From the Egyptian and the Atlantis legacy, he learns the greatest hidden mysteries of the divine and the earthly, the visible and the invisible.
From Orient, he takes the basis of Arab, Hindu and Chinese religious knowledge, including Buddha and his enlightenment.
In Greece, he learns, from the Chaldean wise men, the transformation of mater through invisible forces.
PythagorasPythagorasPythagoras is in himself, and throughout his
message, the Symbol of Unity.
(“I love the One” GOD, the elemental)
He shows that the essence of all religions is the
same: LOVE.
He teaches rationally how to arrive at Love by
explaining the mathematical form by which we
love the world, throughout all the mechanics of
life.
GOLDEN VERSES
Above all, worship the immortal gods(who are the manifest of the attributes of the one God),
as established and ordained by the Law…,and in that sense, honour you word,
make it clear that you honour it by your acts.
Reverence the glorified heroes, whose diverse virtues you admire as manifested in their deeds.
1
Devote your work to the terrestrial dæmons,(who from the unseen take care of you and feed you)
by rendering them due worship, every day of you life.
Be grateful with all of them and do not start any action whatsoeverwithout asking for their collaboration.
Honour you father, you mother and you close relatives, for the only reason that God and yourself have permitted them to be so.
1
Make your friend he who distinguishes himself by his virtue.
Learn from his examples.
Pay attention to his sweet warnings .
Forgive his faults (while you can) avoiding all severe judgment: FOR WHAT IS POSSIBLE IS VERY CLOSE TO WHAT IS NECESSARY.
2
3
Abide by the given word.
It is your word, your oath, your very self.EDUCATE YOURSELF IN ITS USE.
DO NOT PASS ON "ENTANGLED" TOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS.
BUT LOVE THE USE OF CREATIVE SPEECH AND THE LAW OF SILENCE.
4
Be reasonable,
be disciplined in your deepest reasoning.
5
Only senseless people
speak and act
THROUGHTLESSLY .
6
Never behave without rule or reason.
It is your precept and the cause of your Harmony.
Do not “break” it by undue, odd behaviour
against your inner self, your rhythm and your Harmony.
7
Think about The Ghost (Fate)IT ORDAINS THAT ALL MUST DIE
and that easy honours, and wealth, and good fortune are uncertain and transient.
Whether adverse or favourable,
BE ALWAYS CONTENT WITH YOUR FORTUNE,however, try to improve it with noble tenacity.
Consider that destiny is more benevolent towards the good ones who understand it
and adjust themselves to its design.
8
Try to build upon the Here and Now the reality of your future.
LOVE THE PRESENT
The infinite Cosmic Energies that you can use without limits, only serve you to modify and attend to heed the present reality.
9
Accept things the way they are :People, circumstances, and yourself.
Only on that basis try to better yourself improve your actions in the world around you.
Be reasonable.
Accustom yourself to OUTDO YOURSELF (achieving GOODNESS in your conduct)
Remembering so, why you have been incarnated.
10
Obey justice in deeds and words,
and to do so, observe, perceive and make sure before acting and speaking,
so that it may not cause any harm on anybody.
11
Never commit dishonest acts
of which you may be ashamed
neither in public nor in private,
because, above all,
YOU MUST HAVE SELF-RESPECT.
12
Consult, Deliberate and, right afterwards
CHOOSE the most noble conduct.
13
Do not persist in doing what may harm you.
Think WELL on your doings before acting.
14
Much is being talked, and condemned, about sundry matters,
DO NOT WELCOME THEM HASTILY WITH ADMIRATION
NEITHER REJECT THEM EASILY.
THE TRUTH IS GOD HIMSELF,
He does not impose Himself by force but He always TRIUMPHS.
14
Hold Firmly and Strongly to your truth
but if you observe that ERROR TRIUMPHS,
ARM YOUSELF WITH PATIENCE AND SWEETNESS.
Try to observe these principles under all circumstances.
15
Be moderate in your food,
BE ACTIVE AND CHASTE
16
Jamais descuides a SAÚDE do corpo.
Dá-lhe com medida, comida, bebida, exercício e descanso,
já que Harmonia é todo aquele que beneficia e não prejudica.
17
Dress and live simply and neatly.
18
Make use of the Soul’s wealth, as well as the material one,
in moderation and harmoniously.
ALWAYS AVOID PROVOKING ENVY.
Do not carry out excessive expenses, like those who ignore the measure of beauty.
Do not either be miserly or petty.
CHOOSE IN EVERYTHING A JUST AND MIDDLE WAY.
19
Do not brag about something you do not understand,
there is always at your side
someone who knows more than you about the subject than you do not know today.
ALWAYS LEARN IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES
and satisfaction will be your result.
20
Do not allow sweet sleep to close your eyelids
without having weighed up your deeds of the day :
… What did I do?
… Where did I fail?
… What did I not do?
… What should I have done?
20
And if you find faults in your examination,
try to amend them the best way you can
before the day runs out.
For you should always drink to the bottom the goblet of TODAY.
However, if you have acted rightly, Rejoice yourself in it!
21
Try to practise these precepts, meditate upon them, love them, for they will guide you to your Evolutionby the PATH OF DIVINE VIRTUE …
I SWEAR IT!ON BEHALF OF THE ONE who has transmitted to our souls
THE SACRED TETRADE, the immense and pure symbol,
origin and creator essenceof the nature of the eternal course.
22
And once you have become familiar with these norms, let them be your code of living to you:
You will also know in due time,
THE UNITY OF NATUREin all its forms:
vegetable, mineral, animal, human and Divine…and then you will never be expecting for the unexpected
and nothing will be concealed.
22
You will know that “the evils” that afflict you and the rest of the humankind,
have been created by each one of them,
and that when man is placed in his smallness,
cannot see or understand that the greatest wealth is very near him.
For very few know the secret of Happiness
and roll back and forth like wheels, overwhelmed by multiple sorrows,
and they let themselves be drawn by “the chariot” of discord.
