WHY?

Dr Goh Keng Swee, one of Singapore’s founding fathers, passed away on Friday 14th May 2010.

He was 91 years old.

So who IS he???

Developed the tourism sector in Singapore Encouraged building of hotels, Singapore Zoological Gardens, the Jurong bird park, Sentosa inc the Underwater World and the Singapore Symphony Orchestra

Dr Goh “the architect of modern Singapore”

Such is Dr Goh’s influence on Singapore that it is said that ‘where ever you go in Singapore, you will find

something that owes its existence to Dr Goh’.

But Dr Goh did not have to serve

– He tutored MM Lee in the university. – Scholarship holder– 1st Class Honours

• He regarded it as a privilege and honour to serve
