Why is sin a problem?

Sin is contrary to God.

Sin brings death.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 6:23

Why is sin a problem?

Sin separates man from God.

But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.

Sin is man’s universal problem

It is because of sin that Christ came into the world and died on the cross.

Christ is the answer!

We do not inherit the sin of Adam

The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.

- only Christ can make atonement!

Satan fought Christ in His mission to save the world.

Satan desires for man to live as man desires and not as God desires.

Man lives as he desires = eternal punishment

Man lives as God desires = eternal life

Man lives as he desires

But it will not be well with the wicked; nor will he prolong his days, which are as a shadow, because he does not fear before God.

Ecclesiastes 8:13

Man lives as God desires

In the way of righteousness is life, And in its pathway there is no death.

Christ is the answer

Then they said to the woman, "Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.“

Rescuer – from the sting of death

Redeemer – paid the price for our sins

Deliverer – brought us near to God

Protector – secures our souls in eternal life

Christ is the answer

Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.
