Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ Have you ever wondered why we have weird Mass times for the 8:15 and 9:45 am on Sundays? I've always been mystified by this ever since I got here. It was ex-plained to me that many years ago, there was a plan to build a bigger church with more seating capacity. This would allow for the merging of what was then the origi-nal schedule of 7:00 and 8:30 Sunday Masses into one Mass at 7:30 am. In order to soften the impact of this merging, the 8:30 Mass was changed to 8:15 and the next Mass was set at 9:45 am. But, the plan to build a bigger church was never carried out (and may not be for many years), which now renders our current schedule irrelevant. This schedule is also impractical because it allows for only 15 minutes of separation between the 7 and 8:15 am Masses. Already, our parishioners are having difficulty getting in and out of the parking lot due to the proximity of the end and beginning of said Masses. Moreover, our Masters of Ceremonies (MC) have to rush their preparation for the 8:15 Mass for the same reason. And so, after consultation with neighboring pastors, our Liturgical Committee and office staff members, I have decided to make two changes to our Mass times. Effective January 1, 2016, the 8:15 am Sunday Mass will now start at 8:30 and the 9:45 will start at 10. Here, then, is the new Schedule of Sunday Masses: 7 am 8:30 am 10 am 11:30 am 1 pm 5 pm Now our Mass times don't look weird anymore. And good folks will not have to bump into each in the parking lot as they leave or arrive for Mass. We will begin to notify our parishioners via bulletin and pulpit announcements starting Dec. 1, 2015. I so appreciate your time. Please join me in praying for a smooth transition to our new Mass schedule next year. God bless us all, Fr. Chris
THANK YOU St. Pius X parishioners, Knights of Columbus, the children of Religious Education and St. Pius X School. With your generous donations, we were able to provide 52 families (over 250 adults and children) with Thanksgiving baskets! Thanks again and God Bless you.

QUERIDOS FELIGRESES
