Some people are still staying at several emergency response posts that have been set up in churches because their houses haven’t been repaired yet. A government helicopter and an Indonesian Navy ship are available to go to areas currently difficult to reach either due to landslides or high waves. It is important to note that the national government’s attention has focused on areas of Flores such as Adonara Island and other areas of Lembata Regency. Much attention from all parties is also needed for isolated areas such as Pantar Island (Alor); Nuse, Dana, dan Ndau Islands (Rote); Raijua Island (Sabu), dan remote villages in Kupang Regency such as Tetebudale in West Amarasi and villages in Amfoang.
