The range has three models: Ultra is the most compact and manoeuvrable lifter, with a safe working load of 40kg; the Midi has a lifting capacity of 40-80kg but remains relatively easy to move around; and the Maxi has a high lifting capacity of 80-300kg. Find out more: E [email protected] First with the aid An advanced first aid course for personnel working on offshore and onshore wind farms has been developed by Maersk Training and wind turbine manufacturer MHI Vestas Offshore Wind. The course builds on the skills acquired during basic first aid and aims to equip technicians with the skills required to quickly stabilise a casualty. It covers a range of practical skills, including advanced airway management techniques, control of catastrophic bleeding, CPR including the use of AEDs and administration of gases in medical emergencies, such as oxygen and Entonox. A specialist emergency trauma pack containing all of the lifesaving equipment used during the course is also available. Breathe more easily Scott Safety has expanded its range of Proflow SC powered air purifying respirators with a higher air flowrate model to help minimise the respiratory burden on the wearer and ensure greater levels of comfort.
