We are familiar with the requirements and obligations under current Australian Legislation and Guidance (such as the Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations and associated Codes of Practice) and therefore are able to advise our Clients accordingly. SLR is NATA Accredited for Asbestos Fibre Counting, Volume Measurement (Air), and Asbestos Fibre Identification (NATA Accreditation No.: 3130). Our services include: Inspections and Surveys All buildings constructed pre 31 December 2003 must have an Asbestos Register. It is also a requirement to update this register at least every 5 years. SLR have trained and experienced Consultants who are proficient in undertaking Asbestos/Hazardous Materials Surveys of all types of buildings, from hospitals to domestic dwelling. Once a survey has been undertaken and an asbestos register complied, SLR can produce an Asbestos Management Plan to support the Client in fulfilling their legislative obligations. Air Monitoring and Clearance Inspections Airborne Fibre Monitoring provides evidence of the levels of airborne fibres (including asbestos) in response to asbestos removed/encapsulated or simply the presence of asbestos within a building. Following the removal/ encapsulation of asbestos, a Clearance Inspection may be required and a Clearance Certificate issued stating that the area is fit for re-occupation. SLR is able to conduct Airborne Fibre Monitoring & Clearance Inspections for asbestos, lead and SMF. Our trained Consultants are Accredited Asbestos Assessors, enabling us to undertake the mandatory works involved with friable asbestos.
