Why should you become “globally engaged”?

To have the ability to solve problems of both local and global importance and to work effectively in other cultures;

To understand and appreciate the variety of contributions people from other societies can make to the globally dynamic knowledge community;

To achieve an experiential base for living and working in a global environment, and to appreciate that diverse perspectives are increasingly important to working through new and creative solutions to the challenges that they will face;

To negotiate decisions about issues that blend advances in science and technology with policy concerns, with appreciation for varying global perspectives
