The education and training of architects in the 21 st century is inextricably bound up with the reality of globalization. In light of technological advances and the growing internationalization of higher education, the future of architecture as a profession must be addressed from a new perspective. Likewise, the training offered to architecture students should also be framed from a different, more open and wide-ranging point of view, enabling the provision of effective solutions to the challenges facing contemporary society at local and global levels. The School of Architecture at the University of Navarra has set up the GLOBAL ARCHITECTURE PROGRAM to meet these emerging needs. This university-awarded qualification is designed to complement the education provided on the Degree in Architecture program; its goal is to train highly-qualified architects to work successfully in a globalized world. The GLOBAL ARCHITECTURE PROGRAM comprises a set of activities incorporated into each academic year of the degree program, based in the School of Architecture and beyond. In addition to effective English-language speaking and writing skills for architects, workshops on professional competences and seminars about architectural matters led by renowned experts in the field, overseas activities are also on offer, such as summer courses, training programs and work-experience placements. Thus, students may have first-hand experience of the architectural culture and practices in other countries, furthering their professional development in new contexts. In short, students on the Global Architecture Program may avail of the opportunity to carry out their professional activity in major architecture studios and firms in Spain and abroad. 31009 Pamplona T +34 948 42 56 27 F +34 948 42 56 29 www.unav.es/arquitectura GLOBAL ARCHITECTURE PROGRAM GA ESCUELA DE ARQUITECTURA UNIVERSIDAD DE NAVARRA SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE UNIVERSITY OF NAVARRA CONTENIDO OBLIGATORIO [durante el curso lectivo] 1º 2º 3º 4º 5º FIN DE CARRERA CORE SUBJECTS [during the academic year] CAREER WORKING International Seminars International Seminars English for Professional Practices English for Professional Practices Professional and Work Skills Professional and Work Skills Taller Internacional de Proyectos International Project Workshop Trabajo fin de grado en inglés en combinación con prácticas en estudios internacionales Final Year Project combined with professional internships at international offices CONTENIDO OPCIONAL 1º 2º 3º 4º 5º FIN DE CARRERA [ofertado por la Escuela durante los meses de verano] CAREER WORKING ELECTIVE SUBJECTS [during the summer] Visiones de Arquitectura Europea Views of Architecture in Europe Taller Intensivo de Arquitectura en el extranjero Intensive Architecture Workshop Prácticas en el extranjero International internships ESQUEMA DE DISTRIBUCIÓN DE LAS ACTIVIDADES A LO LARGO DE LA CARRERA SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES DURING THE DEGREE
