PINPOINT TEST G: THE DEFROST SYSTEM WILL NOT SHUT OFF
AUTOMATICALLY (Continued)
Test Step Result / Action to Take
G6 CHECK THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MODULE (ICM)
• Disconnect: Instrument Cluster Module (ICM) C220a.• Measure
the resistance between heated backlight power relay
socket pin 86, circuit 1009 (OG/YE) harness side and ground.
YesINSTALL a new ICM. REFER to Section413-01. TEST the system
for normaloperation.
NoREPAIR circuit 1009 (OG/YE) for a shortto ground. TEST the
system for normal
• Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms? operation.
Pinpoint Test H: The Delayed Accessory Is Possible
CausesInoperative
• Faulty CJB
Normal Operation • Inoperative ICM
Under normal operation the delay accessory relay • Open in

• Inoperative delay accessory relaydelay accessory relay through
circuit 1004 (LB/RD)
and then the accessory delay relay provides power
to the front power window control switch through
circuit 400 (LB/BK).
PINPOINT TEST H: THE DELAYED ACCESSORY IS INOPERATIVE
Test Step Result / Action to Take
H1 CHECK THE DELAYED ACCESSORY RELAY
• Disconnect: Delayed Accessory Relay. Yes• Carry out the
delayed accessory relay component test. Refer to GO to H2.
wiring Diagrams Cell 149 for schematic and connector
Noinformation. INSTALL a new delayed accessory relay.
• Did the delayed accessory relay pass the component test? TEST
the system for normal operation.
H2 CHECK THE POWER TO THE RELAY COIL
• Ignition ON.• Measure the voltage between ground and delayed
accessory
relay socket pin 85.
