To get there from Grand Junction, drive west on Colorado Highway 340, following signs to Colorado National Monument. After crossing the Colorado River, turn left onto Monument Road, continue to the east entrance of Colorado National Monument (tell them you’re going to the Glade Park area - they should allow you to pass free of charge). Continue up Monument Road for 3.9 miles, then turn left onto DS Road. Follow DS Road 5.8 miles to Glade Park Store, then turn left onto 16 ½ Road. Follow 16 ½ Road for 10.9 miles to a grassy parking area on the right. Total distance from downtown is approximately 25-miles.
