Rebecca is a qualified teacher. She gained
a BSc Hons in Biology and Education whilst
attending York University. She then followed
this with a Masters degree in Education and
a Post-graduate Certificate in Education
at Oxford University, qualifying her to
teach at every level. She taught science
at secondary level for 7 years, and rose to
mid-management level by the age of 24.
She continued to teach and tutor students
after having her two children. She gained
a position as Head of Key Stage 2 at the
local primary school and taught for another
3 years before moving to Quintessentially.
During her time at Quintessentially she
has been a Managing Director, first of Q
Creative and now at Q Education. This is
her seventh year at Q so she knows the
company inside out!

Rose de Pass is an Early Years specialist,
holding a 1st Class BA (Hons) in Early Years
Education. Rose consolidated her studies
by working in the prestigious Miss Daisy’s
Belgravia, and has developed a strong
relationship with this school and many
others. It is these personal relationships
with the Heads of many top schools which
set Rose apart from other consultants. She
continues to refine her understanding of
the processes by which young children
learn, and her knowledge allows her to find
schools that will best suit each child. Rose
is also the Head of Tuition and, being an
experienced former tutor herself, places
only the most impressive tutors. Her
expertise in private tuition means that Rose
understands clients’ needs, and capably

Rose de Pass
Jess graduated with a 1st Class (Hons) in
Social Sciences from Cardiff University. She
completed a range of educational modules
as an undergraduate and co-founded
a student mentoring programme for
‘gifted and talented’ school children. Jess
now coordinates our schools placement
programme, managing the relationships
between school consultants and members.
She is likely to be the first port of call for
all your educational enquiries and her
positive outlook means she will be delighted

Jess Harris

Keith Pusey has taught at a conservatoire,
a university and three senior schools. He
was a member of the staff at Winchester
College for nearly 30 years as Head of
Department, Director of Studies (Academic
Deputy Head of the School) and as Registrar
(director of admissions). He took part in the
development of the GCSE examination in
the 1980s and was in the vanguard of more
recent initiatives that led to the inception of
the Cambridge Pre-University credential. An
ISI inspector and consultant, he has been
part of inspection teams at many of the UK’s
leading schools. In the wake of the closure
of three schools in West Sussex, he assisted
with the planning for a new academy, and
was a member of the Governing Body of
Midhurst Rother College.

Keith Pusey
Charles Milne has worked in education for
nearly 40 years. Born in Australia, he was
at school and university in Sydney before
coming to Oxford for post-graduate
studies in 1977.
After three years as a Research Lecturer
at Christ Church, Oxford, and brief stints
teaching at Dean Close School and Stowe,
he spent most of his career teaching French
and English at Eton, where he was also a
Housemaster and, for the last five years,
Tutor for Admissions.

Nick Welsh has recently joined the
Quintessentially Education team having
been Head of English and Senior Master
during his time at Eton. After graduating
from Oxford in English Language and
Literature, Nick went on to teach in several
schools, before taking a position at Eton for
the majority of his career. Nick specialises in
English, but also in school entry guidance
for Eton, Harrow, Winchester and other
top public schools. As a much-loved and
sought-after tutor, Nick enjoys guiding
students through their studies, helping them
reach their potential.

Jennifer Debow has been living and
teaching in Hong Kong for 20 years. She has
worked as a teacher in international schools
and as a private tutor for children with
learning differences.
Jennifer was educated in Canada holding
degrees in Education, Psychology and
Social Work from The University of Western
Ontario, York University and The University
of Sheffield. She is married with two
daughters both attending an international
school in Hong Kong.

Alex is a PPP graduate from Oxford
University and former 4th King’s Scholar at
Eton, who has been teaching and tutoring
extensively for the past 5 years. He has
taught at two of Britain’s top independent

Sarah graduated from Cambridge with a
Masters in Education and has taught all ages
from 3 to 14 in London, Tokyo, Hong Kong
and now Shanghai. With a specialism in
Special Educational Needs she has tutored
children with individual needs. For the
past 10 years Sarah has been the Head of
Lower School at a top London Prep School,
whilst supporting the set up and running
of successful private nurseries in the city.
Sarah has supported families relocating to
and from Asia and the UK, and now living
in China and working for an International
