National Service Scheme Report on Gita Mahotsav (Dec, 14 th 2021) on the occasion of "Gita Jayanti" Unnat Bharat Abhiyan- IIT Delhi invited participating college of Delhi University at Unnat Bharat Abhiyan initiative at Dayal Singh College, Lodhi Estate. In this event the activities carried out at the respective college were supposed to be exhibited. This event was named as Gita Mahotsav and was held on 14 December, 20 1. The was held to commemorate the Gaita Jayanti Utsav. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan team along with the NSS team of the college participated in this event. 16 volunteers of NSS and UBA participated in this event. Prof. Rabi Narayan Kar,Principal, Shyam Lal College) gifted participating volunteers with a copy of Gita. Prof. Rabi Narayan Kar, while addressing the gathering of students talked on the importance of Gita in our day to day life. He further elaborated that the principles enshrined the sacred Gita were crucial in guiding our freedom fighters of all strands in India’s struggle for Independence

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan- IIT Delhi invited participating college of Delhi University at

was named as Gita Mahotsav and was held on 14 December, 2021. The was held to
commemorate the Gaita Jayanti Utsav. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan team along with the NSS
team of the college participated in this event.
16 volunteers of NSS and UBA participated in this event. Prof. Rabi Narayan
Kar,Principal, Shyam Lal College) gifted participating volunteers with a copy of Gita.
Prof. Rabi Narayan Kar, while addressing the gathering of students talked on the
importance of Gita in our day to day life. He further elaborated that the principles
enshrined the sacred Gita were crucial in guiding our freedom fighters of all strands in
India’s struggle for Independence
Students from UBA coordinating institutions in Delhi gathered on the ground of the Dyal
Singh College and hold copies of Bhagavad Gita in their hands. It resembled the ethos
of the freedom fighters who gathered on the streets of Kolkata, nearly 50000 in
numbers, keeping Gita in hands, in protest against Bang Bhang by British Viceroy
Curzon in 1905.

Whole event was broadcasted using UBA’s webex, YouTube and Facebook Live platforms. Due to
the Covid-19 pendemic, many students witness this event using online platform. More than 100
students joined this event with the help of You Tube Live Link: https://youtu.be/mJOP7_6DL90.
Gita Mahotsav appeal to all to live a life of self-control and coming to the “Gita Way of
Life” touched everyone's heart. Organising team congratulated all the students for their
participation. Refreshments were served at the end of the programme for all the
attendants. Everyone returned home with the divine message of leading a “Gita Way of
Life”.
