IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING GRADE 5 & 6 STEM CERES INCURSION We still have many grade 5 & 6 families who have not given permission, or made payment for the STEM CERES Incursion taking place Monday 23rd October. Notes will be sent home again today to those who are outstanding. Please contact he
office if you have had any trouble using the Sentral Parent Portal for permissions. Payment can be made via Qkr, Bpay, CSEF or at the office.
Unfortunately, if we have not received payment or permission by tomorrow, students will be UNABLE TO ATTEND. This Incursion is very informative and supports the learning covered by our STEM program.
Please do not hesitate to contact the office should you have any queries.
STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS We have many students from our school who have made contributions to the community. Congratulations to Ellie C—2A and Lawson S—2C who have both earned the Joey Scout Promise Challenge. Well done!
We would also like to recognise the efforts of some thoughtful GPS students who helped a family in our community at the netball courts on Tuesday night. Abbi K—4C, Milly H—3A and Sophie M—4A assisted a family at a very stressful time, demonstrating our school value of Caring. Well done girls.
PARENT PORTAL ONLINE PERMISSION This term, permission for school activities will need to be granted via the Sentral Parent Portal. Payments can be made via
Qkr!, Bpay, or CSEF. Hard copy notes will no longer be sent home.
If you attempt to reset your Portal password, but have not received the email, please ensure you check your junk or spam folders. Please do not hesitate to contact the school office should you have any issues or any queries.
Canteen News Lemonade Focus Water will be available again next week! Unfortunately, Raspberry Focus Water will no longer be available from next week.
Please note: should we not have enough helpers on canteen day, we will be unable to provide over the counter sales at recess and lunchtime. If you have a Working With Children Check and would like to help out, please contact the office.

WORLD TEACHER’S
DAY
We will be celebrating World
Teacher’s Day on
Friday 27th October
to thank our teachers for the
wonderful job they do.
We invite students to write a
card, letter, or poem; draw a
picture, bring flowers from the
garden, bake something
special, or just say thank you
to their teacher for all the hard
work they do.
Any parents who would like to
drop off a little something for
our teachers for morning tea
can leave it at the office.
Thank you.
SCHOLASTIC BOOK CLUB Ordering needs to be completed online by 9:00am TOMORROW Friday 20th October via the following link:
www.scholastic.com.au/LOOP
We hope you enjoy developing your children’s home library whilst supporting our school
(20% of all sales from Book Club goes to Gisborne Primary School).
Just a reminder that book orders will be sent home with students. If any orders are gifts and should not be sent
home with students, parents may contact the office to advise the PFA and make arrangements for collection.
Payments for the Shopping Tour can be made via the Qkr App.
Please note that the Shopping Tour requires you to choose a student before making
payment but this is just to enable the PFA to identify which family has made the
payment. You can make payments for multiple people once a student profile has been
selected. Please contact the office should you have any queries.
VISITOR On Tuesday, we had an unexpected visit from a koala at school. He wandered from the senior playground to a huge gum tree behind the netball court. Students were very excited to see him, however the magpies were not! They harassed him all day until he finally moved on overnight.
