The training programme was organised on 21st, 22nd, & 24th October, 2019 at Collectorate Office Margao-Goa and on 23rd October, 2019 at Government College of Arts & Science, Quepem- Goa. Total 224 people participated in the said training programme. . SDU-II Rural Development In the month of October total 9 programmes were conducted by SDU-II - Rural Development. Two batches of Immersion study for CRPs/BRPs under NRLM was conducted. Basic training programme : SHG Concept & management were conducted for Office bearers of SHGs in three batches at different blocks of Goa. Training programme for VO Sub committees of Canacona Block was organized on 17th & 18th October, 2019. Training programme on Sustainable Livelihood through NRLM was organized for common cadres. This programme was conducted from 15th to 18th October, 2019 at Collectorate South, Margao-Goa. Total 22 numbers of participants attended this training. The aim of the programme is to assist SHG members to start livelihoods activities at individual or group level related to farm activities. This Training Programme was conducted through lecture, group discussion & group activities method. SDU-1 Core Faculty in Decentralized Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation 1.SDU I conducted 02 batches of training programme on MIS(PES Application-PRIA Soft, Action Soft ) for Secretaries and Gram Sevaks of North Goa on 3rd & 4th October, 2019 at Computer lab of College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Khandola, Marcela-Goa. The aim of the training sessions were to list out the issues related to uploading the data on MIS (PES Applications-PRIA Soft, Action Soft) and find a possible solution to enable panchayats to upload the data effectively and efficiently. Total 36 participants attended the said training programme 2.A training session on planning process at village level for beacon panchayats has been organized for Elected Representatives, Village Development Committee Members and Self Help Group Members of Velguem Panchayat–Bicholim block on 7th October, 2019. The aim of the programme is develop panchayats model/beacon panchayats in Goa through effective participatory process and activating governance mechanisms at grassroot level. The training programme was attended by 38 participants. 3. This SDU organized 01 batch of training programme on PRI-SHG Convergence for BRPs and CRPs under NRLM on 18th October, 2019. Total 28 members attended the programme. The aim of the programme is to sensitize on importance of involving SHGs & their federations in GPDP process at village level. 4.A series of batches on Participatory Planning Process for GPDP has been conducted by this Institute under People's Plan Campaign (PPC). RTI Programme

A Training Programme on Right to Information Act was organized on 31st October and 1st November 2019 for the PIOs of Higher Secondary School South Goa. The

SHG Books & Registers under NRLM was organized for Book keepers of SHGs. This programme was conducted into two batches from 14th to 16th October, 2019 at Balli, Quepem Block & Gaondongrim, Canacona Block. Total 94 participants were trained. The aim of the programme was to enable participants to explain & write their books & & registers related to SHGs. This programme imparted training through lecture method as well as group discussion with practical session.

SDU IIIWomen's Development

1.Three days training programme on 'Development of Village Disaster Management Plan”, from 3rd to 5th October, 2019 . It was held at Lecture Hall GIPARD, Ela, Old Goa. 43 participants attended the programme.

The local Resource persons as well as the Resource Persons form NIDM, New Delhi covered sessions on topics such as- Disaster Management: Conceptual Overview, HRVC analysis : Concept, Tools and Techniques, Disasters in Goa : Vulnerabilities and challenges, Village Disaster Management Plan: Need, Framework and Process, Group Exercises, First Aid in Disaster, Practical Demo in First Aid, Psychological Care in Disaster Principles, Techniques of Psychosocial Care Disaster , Search Rescue and Fire safety.

2. A three days DoPT, (New Delhi), sponsored Training Programme on “Issues relating to Family Welfare” from 21st to 23rd October, 2019. It was held at lecture hall of GIPARD, Ela, Old Goa. The objective of the programme was to impart knowledge to the participants on the various aspects of Family Welfare. The programme was attended by 18 participants. The key sessions were on - Family as protection unit for children, problems and issues of concern affecting families & ways to deal with them, Orientation on Disabilities in Children (Physcial, Audio, Visual etc) and

Various Schemes for the Di ff e ren t ly –Abled , Awareness on Issues of Substance abuse-Drugs, alcohol, additions and the way out, Common illness and its treatment (First Aid),etc. 3.Three days Capacity Building Programme on “Social Defence Issues for Panchayati Raj Functionaries” was conducted in collaboration of NISD, New Delhi from (23rd to 25th October, 2019). It was held at the conference hall of GIPARD, Ela, Old Goa. The programme was attended by 29 participants, who were from Directorate of Panchayats.The sessions on - Social Defence: Concept, need and Areas of Social Defence, Old Age Care: Magnitude, Policy and Central and State Programme , Salient features of Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 , Drug Abuse and Prevention:, Programmes of Central and State Government and Role of Panchayati Raj Functionaries on Prevention of Drug Abuse, Problems of Destitute (Beggary)Programs on Poverty alleviation and on Elderly Care were conducted.The participants were also taken for a (Field Visit to Old Age –Sneha Mandir, Role of Media on Social Defence, Field visit to Old Age –Home/Drug Addict Treatment centre at COOJ Mental Health Foundation, Bastora,).
