DKK3 is a stress-induced, tubular

epithelia-derived, immunosuppressive

and pro-fibrotic glycoprotein.

In humans, urinary DKK3 levels

specifically correlated with the extent

of tubulointerstitial fibrosis in various

glomerular and tubulointerstitial

diseases.

DKK3 is a potential therapeutic

target and diagnostic marker in

renal fibrosis.

Bei vielen Patienten mit chronischer Nierenschädigung liegt trotz

signifikanter Progression (auch bis zum Erreichen der terminalen

Niereninsuffizienz) keine höhergradige Albuminurie/Proteinurie vor
